In that Garland vs. Jones match-up, Garland's team got the 'W', but Jones was the stat winner with 30 pts. on 11-22 from the field along with 4 assists and 3 steals.   Unfortunately for Jones, he didn't get much scoring help from his teammates.  Garland only 9 pts. on 2 of 7 from the field; 4 assists; 2 stls; and 5 ugly TO's.  Hellems helped offset Garland's game with 19 pts. on 7-15 from the floor but the unsung hero for Bradley Beal may have been Francis Okoro who added 13 pts. and 13 rebounds.

That's all from the Under Armour Finals.  We only had 2 targets playing and Moses Brown's team was eliminated in the first round.  Ayala had a good tournament; consistent scoring and 2 double-digit rebound games.

Ayala's team, WeR1, wins the tournament, it's second consecutive UA Finals title.

That's it from the Adidas Gauntlet Finale.  The way the schedule was set up, some teams only played 4 games; others played 5.  Consistent scoring from Dort.  Duke had an up and down 5 games.  Hurt showed he was a shooter as well as a solid rebounder.

It's time I fessed up; came clean; asked for forgiveness, etc., for misleading all of you.   Contrary to everyone's assumption, I did not graduate from IU in 1966.  It was actually 1970.  So I really am an old fart, but just 4-years less old than you all thought.  I've kept in close contact with many of my high school classmates and when we end an email, it's always with 'Class of '66'.  When I signed up for btb, I knew I wanted Old Fart as a part of my screen name and without a second thought stuck in Class of '66.  I didn't even realize what I'd done until well after I'd begun posting on a regular basis.  So there it is.  There's a fraud among you.   A thousand pardons.

The mods will discuss.

We may have to perma-ban you based on this disclosure.

Or, possibly you may have to wear a funny hat for a week as penance.

One of those two things for sure!

That's twice now he has watched him. Interesting.
Has he personally watched Garland?  Anybody know?

Ed Schilling, Archie Miller at Peach Jam tonight watching Bradley Beal Elite-Team Takeover per a source at the event.

I don't know. A betrayal of trust like this is earth shattering.

Pay no attention to the man behind the Class of '66 Old Fart screen name.

In last night's Peach Jam semifinal action our targets both lost.  Garland & Hellems gave up a 14 points lead with 3 minutes left in the game and lost 64-63.  From twitter world, Team Takeover put on a fantastic display of defense and completely kept the ball out of Garland's hands.  Garland and Hellems' stats for the Peach Jam.

Some post Peach Jam commentary from BasketballRecruiting.

THE BULLDOG

While he can get a bit chirpy at times, asking for Keldon Johnson to compete and on a consistent basis is never an issue. A 6-foot-6 small forward that can put his team on his back and score in a variety of ways, while his Boo Williams team came up just a bit short on Saturday evening, it was not due to a lack of effort from the top-50 wing. Averaging over 13 points, 10 rebounds and four assists on Saturday, Johnson is a stat sheet filler. He gets to the foul line with the best of them and is one of the top tone setting prospects in the 2018 class. Johnson was watched by head coaches from Virginia, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Maryland, Georgetown, Oregon, Texas, NC State and Florida State on Saturday, where finding a college suitor is not much of an issue. The bulldog that is Keldon Johnson came and conquered again, cementing his standing as an elite competitor.

THE GOSSIP KING

Heading into the week, there were a few regional high-major programs in pursuit of Jericole Hellems but following his time in North Augusta, things have hit the highest of levels. A 6-foot-7 prospect that can play either forward position, has revamped his body and displays an egoless approach that any head coach would love to have in a player, there has not been a more talked about player in South Carolina than Hellems. More of a complimentary piece on both the high school and travel circuit scenes up until now, the rising senior eclipsed 20 points three separate times at the Peach Jam and with a more developed skillset, has been able to pull in offers this week from Wake Forest, Wichita State, Ole Miss, Missouri, Arkansas, Georgia Tech and Kansas State.
