IU Hambone Posted August 20, 2017 Posted August 20, 2017 When did Ethan Lasko join the team? http://iuhoosiers.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=9469 Must be a walk on. Did I just miss this announcement? Quote

McRoberts, by a very wide margin, is our only walkon that has the ability to contribute to a D1 team during an actual game. Lasko had 25ppg at a very small private academy near where I live; he was honorable mention all-county in an area that is not much of a basketball Mecca. Great student and hopefully a very good practice player and team chemistry kid. IUsafety, Class of '66 Old Fart, WayneFleekHoosier and 4 others 7 Quote

Great student and hopefully a very good practice player and team chemistry kid. I know his playing time will be extremely limited but FWIW here's his summer AAU stats. He just completely disappeared from the roster for the final 2 events but prior to that time, he was averaging the same amount of minutes as IU target Darius Days. WayneFleekHoosier Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Yeah, shot 31-32% from 3 in HS. Not great really. But it's a solid pickup as a walk on IMO, because he's got some game. Pretty quick. Played high level AAU. Interesting move by staff. Didn't seem like a need, but they must see something. Jager, Blackmon, McRoberts, Taylor, Lasko. Have we ever had 5 walk ons? Quote
