Agree. I love hearing the scoop and news of which players are improving, etc.... But then again, it doesn't mean a ton until games start. We were hearing lots of good about DeRon last off season.

I think until we face equal opposition, practices and workouts allow are better players to shine against our lesser players.

Based on the picture, I'd say from Iona but the full story is behind the pay wall.

We currently only have three guards on the entire roster.
We are going after a 6’10”, 230 lb grad transfer and NOT a shooting guard?
Good news if you ask me.

For sure! Having another 6'10 guy would be nice because I have a lot of doubt about De'ron being able to contribute next season.

Wasn't he playing behind Jock though?

I like it to spread the floor if he can shoot at a decent clip. It'll allow for Morgan to operate against a smaller 4.

It was actually 5.3 pts and 2.8 boards.  Career averages were 6.4 and 3.5 in 18 minutes/game.

What are the chances with the timing of this recruitment of the 6’10 kid that this is for Juwan Morgan’s spot and Morgan wasn’t expecting to leave, so now Archie scrapping the barrel for height?

Probably not, BUT it does look like odd timing and a reach on talent.

Also hard to believe a kid like this would bother transferring into a backup role. Why not go someplace where he could maybe start?

Are we sure we have the right kid?

Or something has raised a question about Moore's ability to contribute and Davis is a definite non-contributor because of his injury?
