I hate the shot clock, alternating possession, and all of these tv timeouts. the game is pretty much ruined to much like NBA  which is just horrible basketball or street ball. 

Oh those 1950's. They were truly the golden era of basketball. How I miss those days.

30 seconds down from 35 bothers you that much? I honestly did not notice any offenses rushed. Only thing I noticed was a couple of teams starting their offenses a couple of seconds earlier.

Jesus, what on the offensive end takes 45 seconds you can't get in 30? That is way too long. I hope they don't go to 24, but would rather that than 45.

I forgot that they even changed the shot clock to 30 seconds in all honesty. The game didn't seem any different to me.

Agree, 30 seconds isn't bad but if they go to 24... I think I would rather have 45 than 24. I think in college, more so than the NBA, it would be a track meet with the ball being thrown at the basket every few seconds.

Nah, basketball is much better when one team realizes they are outmatched talent wise, so they hold the ball for 30 seconds before even getting into their offense.

I see them going to quarters first to be like every other level. I truly think 30 is a good number. People have to want to pay to watch NCAA anymore. To do that 59-56 isn't going to do as well as 82-79.

My preference is to see good offense run. 24 seconds would force too much iso. Teams will get their offense started with 15-18 seconds to go and run one set. If that set isn't there it's a one on one. To the casual fan that might be great because more points will be scored. I would hate it though. I guess if it makes the NCAA more money they'll look into it. It's about the student athletes and game and nothing to do with making boatloads of money. /s

I challenge any of you millennial fans to go back 40 no 50 years and show me how the game has got better since all the rule changes. The liberal money mongers arguments were, this will speed the game up, games will get over in two hours or less, higher scoring, better quality of basketball. Show how any of this is true today. games today take just as long or longer. Jump ball have been replaced by meaningless tv timeouts that only benefit the hype and the pipes in the office.

This was not done for the athletes, all it has done is made a slew of clowning cry babies. wile you are at it check to see how the scoring has increased over the last 40 years and also see how many more turn overs are averaged per game. Check it all, but don't spend to much time researching it you might actually learn something about the game.

And for all of you crying for Archie to get Oh romeo oh romeo I say no just get the player that does all the right things. I have watched him play twice and was not impressed either time.

Btw, your issue with the shot clock not speeding up the game is just dumb. The game is still two halves of 20 minutes. Money. Yeah money actually means something. It is how you are able to watch and ***** about this stuff. Other than that I got nothing. It was the most idiotic thing I have ever read and I may actually be dumber for having read it. If I am not clear enough, I completely disagree with your thought process and your general outlook on life. My main reason is that fouls being reset would be a huge improvement for those games where teams enter the double bonus with 13+ minutes still left to go in the game.

I don't understand the commercial complaint... there's going to be commercials... switching to quarters won't change that.

It's not that Crean's offense waited to set up, the problem with his abomination of a half court offense is that if the first look wasn't there the only other option was to dribble the air out until a forced shot or turn it over.

That's not a shot clock issue.
