What is the NCAA rule on coaching changes as it relates to players and recruits? Apparently recruits can ask for a release from their NLI... does that make them eligible to play immediately at a new school? What about players already on the team/enrolled in school? If they transfer, they have to sit out a year (except for grad transfers)... even with a coaching change?

An incoming frosh released from his NLOI is eligble immediate. All others are under the transfer rules. So yes, they must sit a year.

Recruits if they can get released from the NLI can play immediately. Players already at a school have to sit a year unless they are a grad transfer.

My guess is anytime. Some might have their minds made up, most though will meet with him and get a sense of his vision first. Within a week for the majority.

I would think the go/stay decision would be made after the coach player meetings are concluded. Late next week , maybe.
