KelleyHoosh Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Danny Hurley at Rhode Island 12-13 ; 8-21 13-14 : 14-18 In the Atlantic 10….. Would not be a smart move for IU He just took over the program and that's a significant turn around. He did decently at Wagner and has a lot of in roads in elite hs basketball. Plus he played at duke. Obviously he's unrealistic, but I'd be interested in it Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote
FortWayneHoosier Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Hypothetically, if this happens now before the season, it's going to have to happen fast. It wouldn't be good to let him coach the exhibitions or the first few games and then do it. Those last few games of he that I will not name's tenure were excruciating waiting for the inevitable to happen. IMO they have to act before Thursday if they are going to do it. They won't though sadly. It's gonna take another bad season im afraid Quote

At least its a suggestion though Quote
LazOffTheBench Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Let it happen fast. Get it over with so we can move on. Quote

FortWayneHoosier Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I highly doubt they fire him, they better act fast Quote
mdn82 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I highly doubt they fire him, they better act fastThey won't fire him this close to the season for info already out there, but I bet the leash is short this year. Quote
coonhounds Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Crean should get this year and I am excited for it I think now we will see what he is made of. I will raise this question though given the way things r going.if crean does have decent success here and gets offered a job in the pros do u think he will go just to not have to deal with this type of stuff? AKHoosier Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Get real, they're not firing Crean before the start of the season. shortspacequickness 1 Quote
AirHoosier11 Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Whatever happens with Coach Crean I just hope it's happens soon. Whether that's getting the team back on track or moving on. There is a lot of talent in the state of Indiana coming up, especially in the 2017 class. I would hate to see the program in another bad spot where those players wouldn't consider coming to IU. MartintheMopMan Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 My position on firing Crean still has to be what it has been. I do not want to go through a coaching search. Crean better not walk away until we have someone better ready to sign. A coaching search means the destruction of everything that has been built. AirHoosier11 1 Quote

shortspacequickness Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 There's basically zero chance Crean gets fired anytime soon. Quote
MartintheMopMan Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 Open your eyes...it's already self destructing. I see it. Were you around for the last coaching search? Firing Crean at the beginning of the season will be more than painful, it will mean another dark era and at the end we end up with what? Another coach willing to jump into a terrible situation aka Crean 2.0. Quote
