For those messaging Pap if he didn't wanna clearly put it on here he probably doesnt want anyone else saying what he said in a private message. Pap and General among others deserve a lot of credit for keeping this site not just angry fans. Lol okay mostly angry fans. At least with those 2 and some others this board is more knowledgeable than most. Big shout out to all the regulars and newbies and in betweeners.

This board does rock. It is by far the best IU board. Best posters, best discussions and best basketball knowledge

No he said that he wants those to message him. If he went through to message everyone he isnt getting any sleep tonight. If all you had to was reach out to hear news you wanted to hear then you would think you would. Took him maybe 2 minutes to respond to me. I for one appreciate Pap even wanting to tell us.

I will say this under new light Chris Collins is a strong candidate and to lead Northwestern to it's first tourney appearance ever is very impressive. He is a good x and o guy and has been a solid recruiter as well. His personality and demeanor would give me a lot of hope. He reminds me of Brad more than any other coach. I honestly havent gave it much thought cause switching B1G jobs would be messy and usually dont happen.

Stevens and Donovan are the first two calls. After that, Tony Bennett and Archie Miller. But I do like Mack and Collins as well

Timing just isn't there for us to get Billy D or Brad. I think you call them 100% or even 100 times. Billy D there is so many things going on it is hard to figure out what OKC wants to do. They said they could be sellers, then that they will offer Hayward a max deal which would awesome. If they rebuild though it could be perfect timing. Brad and the Celtics have a shot to win the East and have a top 5 pick again at worst coming up. The chance to bring a title to Boston is big time for him. Bennett would be awesome but the personal things that affected us last time may be a reason. Jeff Eisenberg said Tony Bennett will be an option and that he would at least listen. Archie and Collins are two guys who I would gladly take. I like Mack as well. I dont want Holtsman tho honestly idk why but something just tells me his ceiling isnt that high. Greg Marshall would listen but he makes over 3 million now so I dont want to have to pay him some outrageous amount. I am looking forward to seeing who our main candidates end up being if it happens.

Stevens
Donavan
Collins

That's the order imo. Funny..

Collins will be auditioning for the IU job on senior night. Tom Crean's last game in Assembly Hall, Collins first stepping stone as the new coach.

I support Collins. 13 years under coach K. From the Midwest. Understands the game and seems to makes adjustments. Hell, he's about to take Northwestern to the dance. Northwestern is dancing and IU isn't. What a time..

I'm not high on Marshall. I wouldn't really like that hire. He's alright but not what IU needs. I like Bennett and Archie a lot. And I don't think the stuff with Bennett's sister would be a factor. It's a different administration and things change over time. Collins is interesting. I do think he's a good coach. He's about to lead Northwestern to their first NCAA tournament appearance. And his teams generally play fundamentally sound basketball, which is something I can't wait to see once again from IU

We better not boo Crean out the building then! It might change Collins' mind if he is interested. (Assuming we have an opening)
