I believe Fred Glass is a smart guy. I also think he is a big picture guy who is charged with keeping the athletic department on a sound financial footing. Acceptable performance to him is probably different than it is to us. We have traditionally been a basketball school in desperate need of a successful football program because of the potential financial impact. I would like a new coach as much as anyone and I think Glass certainly has a short list of people he will call when he thinks the time is right. Given how I believe he views things, I don't think people like us exert much influence on him.

So is the "they" coaches or people in the administration or are they hard to differentiate

Admin mainly but the coaching staff is aware of the general perception. Maybe not day to day. Like I would be shocked if Tom Crean himself does not know this thread exists. I know Fred Glass would.

Crean has a good right hand man. Basically his Chief of Staff that lets him know about everything being said about him lol.
