TOM CREAN FIRED

Recommended Posts

Didn't quote it but the above reasons stated re: the differences in coaching but....... You don't try to do those things in every game?

I could not watch the game today. I'm not saying anything in defense of today's showing but man, this is not that big of a deal...

When IU loses in the NCAA, then we can protest.

There's still a lot of basketball left to be played. This team is not any less capable because of a loss. Believe it or not, they can do it. They can advance in March.

Call me names , irrational, crazy ect but I would fire Crean after a regular season title based on his BTT and post season record. Name me another blue blood program who has had anywhere close to as terrible of a record in their respective conference tourney? Its flat out embarrassing. Many say the BTT doesnt mean much but that is probably based on the fact weve been total crap competing in it. We fail miserably every year in this tournament and I'm sick of it. Rant over.

thanks I love it

IU shouldn't have lost this game today. Why does Crean wait to switch on ball screens until the last few minutes? Our poor rotation killed us all game. I'm not on the ledge right now, but being skeptical of Crean for years now, I can say that if we lose early in the tourney, he will have a built in excuse- injuries. He has done a great job, but I think you gotta win big in March at some point in your career at IU. Also, he needs to get more than one stud in every class. Top 30 classes aren't going to cut it. Maybe this team will enter the tourney with a chip on their shoulder...hope so.

Everyone knows I wanted coach Crean gone for the past two years. However he won the big ten and that deserves him the right for us to reserve judgement at the end of the season. I hope he gets it done.

Well saving yogi like he did I stick to we basically forfeited this one. Way to put pressure on you loose first round I am bringing my pitchfork from my mom's old horse barn and lighting straw on fire to boot. Let's go please

So there had been some questions about Creans postseason record without Wade and Zeller.

Conference Tourney Record - 5-13

NCAA Tourney Record - 0 - 3

NIT Tourney Record - 2 - 3

Overall Postseason Record - 7 - 19

He is literally more likely to get bounced in the first round than to win a single game.  Let alone the whole thing.

Even with Wade and Zeller his stats aren't very good.

Conference Tourney Record - 9-17

NCAA Tourney Record 8 - 7 (At least its above .500 I guess)

NIT Tourney Record - 2 - 3

Overall Postseason Record - 19 - 27

This isn't totally a crean problem i am 23 years exception of one. Give or take some. But I will not join in on the crean praise train till he does something. I have fought with purdue fans on the basis that big titles mean crud and national titles mean everything. I won't change my mind anytime soon. Win win win win please

I gave CTC an A for the BIG regular season title. I give him a D for being the No. 1 seed and losing the 1st game of the BIG tournament. NCAA tournament grade for this year.....TBD.

it better be a a plus
