Could have just had the tourney in Indy or Chicago like always and Michigan could have taken a bus…but no, the league must continue to pander to the East Coast.

I saw someone on Twitter say the hotel they were staying at for the Big Ten Tournament didn't carry the Big Ten Network .... Bring it back to the Midwest

Odd since the Maryland campus is very near.

I think the B1G tourney will do better in NYC.  People don't realize that D.C. isn't really east coast.  It's its own beast and more south (by geography).  Robert E Lee could fly a paper airplane to it from his residence.

However, I agree, that it just feels right that the tournament should be in the heart of it's base.  It's not like Chicago is Greensboro.

I try to keep an open mind about this kind of stuff.  I know that changes are occurring and that the ACC is trying to expand past the Sudetenland.  We would be remiss to retreat into isolationism.  Unfortunately, Delaney doesn't inspire much confidence.  The D.C. selection wasn't a play from strength.

New York in theory may be a good idea, but it is no show of strength to play the week before the Power 5 conference tournament plays there.... It is like the B1G is ok with taking 2nd fiddle, when nothing is wrong with Indy and/or Chicago

Agreed completely.

I just think NYC will be a lot better than DC, which looks to be a complete disaster.

Chicago/Indy > NYC > DC

People will be surprised by how much NYC support Indiana has. The alumni network in the metro area is around 15,000 people...

Also, I'm very excited to watch the games in MSG. Much better and much easier to get to than the UC.

Michigan State really needed this win. They are for sure in the tournament now. They needed a win to feel completely safe. And about the BTT location, it should be in Chicago or Indianapolis every single year

Every bracketologist I have talked to in the last couple weeks had sparty in comfortably before this win( myself included). Bracket matrix which takes the average of all bracketology had them at a 9.9 average before this game. Sparty was just playing to keep their seed where it's at. Win tomorrow and they can improve their seed although I would argue they are better off at a 10-12 seed then they would be a 8 or 9.

There's a reason Izzo is one the best to ever coach college basketball. The guy wins no matter what time of the year. They will be a tough out for anyone

Michigan State is dangerous either way. I wouldn't want to play them

Middle Tennessee didn't mind playing them last year but I agree izzo in march is usually dangerous. It will be curious to see how his freshman respond in the tournament

I watched that Middle Tennessee game at BWW and I was in shock. One year but he's had 7 FFs and a national championship so I can't get on him that bad. Izzo definitely has some talented freshman. The most important one is Miles Bridges. Spartans go as far as he takes them

Middle Tennessee is a better team this year. I have them as a 10 seed this year. They got some good wins but 3 sub 100 losses
