IU vs Michigan Game Thread - Sunday 2/12 @ 1:00 ET

Very little enthusiasm but somebody's gotta get it started, right?  At least history is in our favor as IU has won 17 of the last 18 meetings in Bloomington.

Indiana (15-10, 5-7 Big Ten) vs. Michigan (15-9, 5-6 Big Ten)

RPI:  Indiana 81 - Michigan 74

If that 30 point embarrassment doesn't motivate this team, I don't know what will. At some point personal pride should kick in. I think / hope we win this one. If it goes south tomorrow, then I believe it's truly over.

Crean has Jim's number. We're due for a typical Crean 20+ win.

Like I stated in the Fire Sweet 16 Crean thread, there are dozens and dozens and dozens of student tickets for sale.

I just did a quick review of the Crean/Beilein games (Beilein was hired in 2007, the year before IU hired Crean)... IU (Crean) is 8-7 against him. That's hardly "having his number".

Though, I assume that includes a pretty crappy record for IU in '08-10, and a pretty good record in the last five years.

Edit: Just checked...we are 6-3 vs Michigan over the last five seasons, 2-4 over the first three years of the Crean era.

We own Michigan at home. We lost in B-town during CTC's first year.  We lose to them tomorrow and I think he's getting the boo birds at our last home game.  I fully expect us to win though.

I was thinking earlier about my previous statement.  The only game we've lost to Michigan at home in the last decade plus was in Crean's first season.  Wouldn't it be ironic if he lost to them at home in his last season as well?

Not particularly correct. I went back to see, based on your post...

08-09: LOSS                   0-1
09-10: WIN / LOSS         1-2
10-11 LOSS / WIN          2-3
11-12 WIN / LOSS          3-4
12-13 WIN /WIN              5-4
13-14 WIN /LOSS           6-5
14-15 WIN                       7-5
15-16 WIN / LOSS          8-6
16-17 LOSS                    8-7

I counted the five years before this year's disaster game, versus the first three years. I think we are basically saying the same thing.
