Marquette fans were pretty spot on about Tom Crean overall.  He was actually largely supported there until he jilted them for Indiana.  The overall vibe coming from them was that he was a good, not great, coach and that he could turn IU around but never fully get us back to where we wanted to be.  After 9 years, it really looks like they were right.

Not only is that assessment a perfect synopsis of CTC's tenure here, it's worth noting that he actually went further in the tournament at MU than he has at IU in almost the same number of seasons.  Let that sink in for a minute.

To be fair, at least here he got past the second round and won his conference more than once.

Holy crap, we hired a guy that in 9 years won his conference and got past the second round exactly once.

And never one a postseason tournament. Dude has won 3 straight postseason games exactly ONCE.

In fact even counting regular season I think he's only ever won 3 straight neutral court games ONCE
