(2017) RB Morgan Ellison to IU

Recommended Posts

Pickerington (Ohio) Central running back Morgan Ellison told 247Sports Indiana offered on Wednesday. And with that, the Hoosiers will have a great chance to sign one of America's top big backs.

"Big Ten," Ellison told 247Sports of what stood out about IU. "Get to play all the schools I grew up watching."

247Sports is higher on the 6-foot-1, 221-pound Ellison than our peers, ranking him as the No. 24 running back in the country and No. 19 recruit in Ohio. The industry-generated 247Sports Composite which includes rankings from our peers slots him at No. 76 and No. 45 respectively.

Ellison has 4.6 laser-timed speed in the 40-yard dash with a more impressive 4.0 shuttle. His Nike Football Rating of 131.19 was tops at The Opening Regional in Ohio and one of the best marks in the country.

As a senior Ellison rushed for 1,841 yards and 29 touchdowns after missing much of his sophomore and junior seasons with injury.

Indiana is in position to be getting one of the true steals of the 2017 cycle.

From an article about his performance at the Opening Columbus Regional:

"In the meantime, he's going to keep putting up big numbers this summer. On Saturday he was laser-timed at 4.69 seconds in the 40-yard dash, had a four-second 20-yard shuttle and a 35.6-inch vertical leap.

That vertical was better than Ezekiel Elliott's at the NFL Combine. His SPARQ score of 131.19 is comparable to Derrick Henry's 132.7 at the combine. That's not to compare Ellison to two of the best college running backs in the country last year, because there's more to it than numbers. But it is to show what kind of athlete Ellison is."

Yall need to follow him asap. He's big and his latest training video..... Light on his feet. I love what I see from him. He's got a lot of pride and a lot to prove. Not high ranked. But scored high at a nike camp one of the highest point rankings at a camp from last year in the nation. Let's go RBU
