TheWatShot Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 We had back to back plays where someone dribbled it off their foot and out of bounds. That will get somebody fired up. Quote

We just are." 3) Win by 20-30: "There are so many things we suck at." 4) Win by 30-40: "Games like this are pointless. We aren't good." 5) Lose: BTownBanners breaks the internet and ceases to exist. Class of '66 Old Fart Posted December 20, 2016 Author Posted December 20, 2016 It seems like the starters were playing way too long into this game, but when you look at their minutes it's a different story becaue of the constant substitutions we do. cappymo14 Posted December 20, 2016 Posted December 20, 2016 Crispin just made an interesting point about "positionless basketball" and Neukirk. "If you want to do that for 35 minutes, that's fine but, when you need to grind out a win in the B1G, against a team that wants to slow it down, you need a point guard that can make plays". He will need to make a remarkable improvement before the B1G starts.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Sometimes Crispin does not shut up but overall I like hearing the perspective of a guy that recently played in the Big Ten. He is right-on in regards to his Newkirk comments.Oh I think he was dead on. Were going to see it on the road. A real grinder....slow played...keying on JB... Newkirk has to be the guy. He's smart with the ball, he's quick. He needs to be able to get something started...finish drives(I don't like the angles he takes to the rim). Has to be him. Doesn't necessarily mean shoot....must create opportunities going to the basket. If he can do that, were dangerous. Sucks, but I think much rides on the improvement of Josh.Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
