Indiana vs Houston Baptist Game Thread 4 EST BTN

Recommended Posts

Tipoff scheduled for 4:00 ET      Houston Baptist is one of the fastest playing teams in the country averaging just 16 seconds per possession but it doesn't help their defense as opponents have an effective field goal rate of 60% making HB one of the poorest in that category.  This game should be over early with lots of minutes for the bench.

Will OG get some run..?

Really want to see the team lockdown for long stretches on defense and limit turnovers on offense. Can we have multiple 3-5 minute stretches without giving up a field goal and keep turnovers down to single digits?

The OG question is what I am wondering. Would like to get a few minutes today to shake off some ru

If I CTC I would save OG for the Butler game.

Whoops. Forgot all about this game.

I knew we had a game, I thought it was at 7pm until this morning. I would've felt dumb turning on BTN and seeing the 2nd half of UConn/O$U

Don't think OG will get any run this game, got another week to play it safe between games, no need to re-aggravate anything today.

With the speed that HB plays with I don't think we will get too many  (if any) long stretches with no field goals allowed, but their defense is poor so we should win every segment.

I want a fast game with low turnovers.... We are 338th in the NCAA averaging 17.1 turnovers per game.... even with the fast pace we want to play at there is NO way we should be that bad/careless with the ball.

Our pace doesn't create turnovers either (we are ranked 308 in Turnovers Forced) so why not try a press or something... I know that wish has been beaten into the ground...

UNC plays at a fast pace as well. We were pretty successful defensive rebounding and almost eliminating fast break points. Houston Baptist isn't anywhere close to UNC in talent. We should be able to shut them down for multiple segments of this game.

OG Anunoby continuing to go through warmups here in Bloomington. Doesn't appear to be favoring ankle at all. #iubb

Sounds like good news,  dodged a bullet with the schedule playing out as it did.  I'm sure he's done plenty to stay in game shape.  I think coach should sit him out for this, especially if they run as much as you guys are saying.
