New Indiana repurposed on BTownBanners is lowkey making me despise my Alma mater. And the QAnon references from them. lol. Same group for sure. Gross.

Here’s a groundbreaking thought: schedule better teams and win.

Would be quite the big fish to land. QB Room with Tom Allen: Sorsby, Jackson, Williams, McKibbin, Purcell QB Room year 1 with CCC: Kurtis Rourke, Jackson, Cherry, Mendoza, Purcell Night and day. In year 2, possibly adding Julian Lewis to the mix? Incomprehensible leap forward in talent at IUFB, if it becomes official.

The results sucked. That's different than saying the schedule sucked. The net non-conference SOS last year was 110 I believe.

(2025) LB Paul Nelson to Indiana

Flipped to Indiana from UC on 7/9. Strong offer list with Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Boston College, Kentucky, and West Virginia. https://247sports.com/article/indiana-hoosiers-football-2025-ohio-linebacker-paul-pj-nelson-has-flipped-his-commitment-from-cincinnati-to-iu-233657886/

I'm guessing season ticket holders are p*ssed at this schedule. Not a game on there you can sell for market price. As much as season tickets are these days, might as well save your money and wait to buy off scalpers for a good Big Ten game.

"Dear diary, Today the meanies in the Fire Mike Woodson thread were so harsh on him. They just refuse to see facts because everyone knows there isn't any validity to any way of thinking that's different than mine! I can't wait to make them eat crow when IUBB goes 22-9 and makes a S16! That will really show them!"

Haven’t posted here but enjoy reading, and I’ve been an IU football fan since my earliest days as a toddler in Bloomington. First off, Cignetti is the real thing. I’ve been around him in several settings and he’s extremely bright, highly focused, is personable without being a little over the top like Tom Allen could be, and has a young, enthusiastic staff. We really got it right by hiring him. When he spoke to one of our groups, he said they knew immediately they would have to overhaul the roster, as we couldn’t win with what we had. He didn’t elaborate, but I took it to mean we needed both a talent and attitude change, or the losing would continue. I’ve had some people say that we need to be patient and that’s probably true, but he never once said that. He said the players coming in will all either start or be big contributors, and he doesn’t care if that upsets the returning guys. He said the best guys play and that competition is what they want. They also want fan support. He talked about how much of it they had at James Madison, and that the players and coaches appreciated it very much. Said it was a family atmosphere, including the fans, and he wants that at IU. For the season, I’m predicting 5-7, with the three out of conference games as W’s and MSU and Northwestern as our conference wins. I think we’ll battle throughout and will be close in many of our games though, so we could do better, especially if we stay healthy. Injuries, particularly at quarterback, OL and DL, will be our Achilles. Go Hoosiers.

That doesn't work with this coach. His teams tend to get blown out by good teams, even his best team did.

3 possible games against Q1/Q2 could end of being 3 possible games against Q2/Q3 games depending on how the bracket ends up. Programs can schedule however they want. It’s worked out loading up on cupcakes for some teams to make the tourney however for teams that want to compete for titles challenge themselves regardless of the outcome. Alabama and Purdue last year scheduled like teams that knew they were going to be good. Purdue rolled its non con and Bama struggled however they challenged themselves. Worked out for them they both made the finals 4. BYU played the system and played a soft schedule and had a good NET however didn’t get the results in the tourney.

I didn't say it was the worst field ever. Ultimately we're going to have to see how it plays out. Don't see how it's controversial to say it's an underwhelming non-con schedule.

Johansen is the US head coach for the 4th Olympics in a row. Quite impressive but not surprising seeing how many great divers he's had at IU. https://swimswam.com/usa-diving-names-coaching-staff-for-paris-2024-olympic-games/

Infectious positivity and works his @$$ off. That’ll stick. Great for him. When Bam gets an occasional game off we may see a two Hoosier front court now and then
