Early BIG Projections (2020-21)

I so disagree! And I am all in on TJD staying at IU, both selfishly and from a look at his professional development. When a young person gets a chance to receive independent mentoring from the absolute best in the world at their chosen field, it is not something to be turned down! If Trayce and his dad were doctors, musicians, or any other profession, we wouldn't think twice about the value of him getting feedback from the pinnacle of his future profession. This is largely the same in my opinion. -

The more numbers I see, the more I remember the sick people with a weird....something that was never diagnosed and presented as "negative" for the flu, and the more I read about people with antibodies, the more I think this bad boy's been around for longer than "since January 21st." -

I honestly don’t feel that bad. If this wasn’t going on I would have popped some Tylenol and been at work. I don’t even have to take vacation but since I don’t feel that bad I want to get back to my team we are understaffed and I want to be there for them. -

My coaching prowess leads THE Ohio State University to dropping a home game to the dreaded paternos. Any record on if the 5 loud screaming fans traveled with PSU to my arena? If so, with my coaching powers, I’ll ask that security not allow those turds at our next matchup. Sent from my iPad using BtownBanners -

Brenna Wise Earns Spot on Senior Class Award First Team Indiana senior forward Brenna Wise was selected to the Senior CLASS Award First Team. The award, chosen by a nationwide vote of Division I women's basketball coaches, national basketball media and fans, is given annually to the most outstanding senior student-athlete in Division I women's basketball. Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu won the overall Senior CLASS Award. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School®, the Senior CLASS Award focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities. To be eligible for the award, a student-athlete must be classified as an NCAA Division I senior and have notable achievements in four areas of excellence: classroom, community, character and competition. The Pittsburgh, Pa. native is a two-year team captain and started every game for Indiana in her career. In her final season in Cream and Crimson, Wise averaged 7.9 points and a team-high 5.9 rebounds per game. In her career, Wise scored 1,421 career points and 849 rebounds and was a 2018-19 All-Big Ten second team selection. A double major in marketing and professional sales in IU's Kelley School of Business, Wise excels in the classroom with a 3.89 GPA and has been named an Academic All-Big Ten selection and a 2019 CoSIDA Academic All District. 912 people yesterday died from this just in the US. New York had a worse day by population than any day Italy or Spain has had Statistically we will likely see 1000+ die tomorrow. Variation might spare us a day but at the rate of increase we are looking at 2000+ a day by the end of the week Louisiana, New Jersey and Michigan are hot beds sounds like Chicago may not be far behind. Indy and Miami may even be close behind them. -

ray reacted to MikeRoberts for a post in a topic
This is nutty. Phinisee, Lander and Durham are going to get the lions share of minutes and Leal, Galloway and franklin will back them up. If those backups end up lighting the world on fire we might see some 3 guard lineups to get them more run and balloon that 80 minutes to 120. Al is going to be a huge part of the team and suggesting he should leave is idiocy Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners -

A Transfer Coming?
ray reacted to MikeRoberts for a post in a topic
The only player that is coming in next year, potentially, that is as good or better currently than Al is Lander. We were thin at guard and not good at that position either. Our other freshmen are not going to fix that right away, your giving them way to much credit/expectations. We need Al to come back and improve his 3 point shot to 40% and find ways to get open for kick outs from Lander. There is nobody else that is likely to be at 40% next year - he is our best shooter and we suck at shooting Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mobile app -
1 pointWhen you say a player has peaked at the age of 20-22 years old, it sort of discounts your argument. If we have 4 or five guards better than Al, then I would say Archie is taking this program in the right direction.

1 pointBless you and your family Tammi. This on-line community was enriched, entertained, informed (and occasionally put in our place...lol) by Gary. He is missed and regularly remembered here. The imprint he left here greatly contributed to a place where he left the effects of a life well-lived.
