Does anybody know how first round games work?  like a regular season game with limited visitor tickets?  Also, how is revenue split? just between playoff teams?  If not the teams with byes are screwed on the revenue side unless they get a bigger chunk from the "bowl"they are in?

CFP gets all ticket revenue and distributes it to conferences. They’ll be pretty much regular home games with a few subtle differences.

There’s several warm beaches to watch these games and celebrate for a week win or loose vs attending these games in person.

Somebody lied to you.  It's freezing at the beaches!

I'm enjoying reading the articles of 'Bama crying like little *******. Apparently, they're blaming their non-conference schedule since their solution is to change how they schedule that. A few things:

  • Their non-con schedule wasn't very tough
  • All 3 losses were in conference
  • They lost to 2 6-6 teams
  • They got blown out late in the season against one of those 6-6 teams

They will never understand or agree with this but it’s very simple.

If Bama would have won their second to last game, against a team they were favored by OVER 20 points, they would be in the playoff. Instead they lost by 24-3 and clearly don’t belong.

It’s really that simple. Beat a crappy OU and they would be in but they got smoked.

EDIT: I checked Bama’s schedule to see if maybe the bad Oklahoma loss was after a tough game but…..prior to the Oklahoma debacle Bama hosted Mercer…LOL

Their last three games were vs mighty Mercer, crappy Oklahoma and against sh!tty Auburn.  What a gauntlet.

PSU has to be thrilled with their draw.

They play SMU in Happy Valley and would then play Boise State at the Feista Bowl in Phoenix. It would be hard to get an easier (but not easy)route.

Yeah, they and Texas have nice routes to the final.

Oregon kind of got screwed. They have the hardest path of any of the top 4 seeds.

Coach prime is really talking like a guy that is going to head to the NFL as an assistant

Good!  He’s a self promoting jackass, imho.  Even if some think he’s a good HC.  LOL

The amount out whining coming out of Alabama is ridiculous.  Their AD says he is going to 'need to reevaluate their non-conference schedule for the future'.

Don't freaking lose to the bottom half of your conference.  It's that simple.  Oklahoma and Vandy were 5-11 in conference and two of those wins were against Bama.

Hopefully they drop, would love to go to it, should’ve gotten ticket’s earlier this week

Really doubt they will.  Cheapest tickets about two weeks before the IU/Purdue game were $200.

No one got screwed the way Tennessee got screwed.

One spot away from a home game, and instead they play at Ohio Ohio State followed by Oregon

Supposedly CFP controls the prices, I believe the ones we see are from scalpers. But it sounds like there will be no luck for non-season ticket holders as of now.

I really like our path. If we can't beat the teams in front of us, we don't deserve to be here anyway. I watched all of the games yesterday and I don't really fear any of those teams. Oregon has a very good offense but their defense didn't really stop PSU. Everyone I saw has weaknesses. We might be the most balanced team in the playoffs.

Their AD comment about reevaluating their OOC is ridiculous.

They didn’t lose a single OOC game so that had no bearing.

Their game before the 3-24 atrocity at Oklahoma was friggin Mercer. Is Mercer an example of reevaluating their schedule?

What a joke.

I was thinking of getting two tickets close to the 50-yard line for the IU vs Notre Dame FBS to be held 12/20.  Then, being the frugal $$$ thinking person that I am, I thought...what I really want is to have souvenirs of the historic game.

So, if anyone wants to get rid of their tickets, or picks some up as the game comes to a close, and is willing to mail them to me...I would gladly pay for the postage if you won't deliver them free.

Or I will trade you for the used tickets for this wonderful, useful, item that is not on your bingo card: Funny 2025 Wall Calendar, Cat with Mullets, White Elephant Gift for adults, 2025 Monthly Calendar, Gag Gift Co workers, Christmas Humor gift image 1
