One article I read said no medical attention for 10-15 minutes it’s feared there is brain damage
That's no good. I get CPR certified at work for situations like that. Not that I'll save a life but hopefully I can help just enough until someone that knows what they're doing shows up. Sad

Terrible, hoping for nothing but the best.

Ditto, rcs. I've had extensive lifesaving training in the past but basic CPR can be the difference in life or death and doesn't require much time/effort. I believe the classes are relatively cheap too.

I don't know the details but it's possible he wasn't found for that long. People having heart attacks can act weird and will often go somewhere to be alone. I had a co-worker die of a heart attack at work, even though there are about 20 people there (including myself) who are trained in CPR. Guy wasn't feeling well so he went into the bathroom and sat in a stall. It was sad, especially since there were people around who could've helped him. So it's possible it could have been something like that with Leach.

MSU 247 is saying Leach has been moved to a hospice care situation and used the words "matter of time".

This is so sad and scary.

Always enjoyed listening to Leach and not even about football. Just an interesting character - very sad

For every minute that passes without treatment after sudden cardiac arrest the chance of survival drops 10%.

Please seek help/offer help if somebody near you describes chest pain.  Don't wait.

RIP Coach Leach

Purdue fans were definitely expecting more for some reason. Unfortunately Purdue, Indiana, Maryland, Rutgers and such just aren't attractive places to coach... Especially now having to compete with Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, USC. Not sure which UCLA program will show up though. And Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan State have kinda left the door open for someone to take 5th place.

I expect Wisconsin to be shutting that door in short order.

He was a friend of mine and we hung out when he was offensive coordinator at UK under Mummy with Tim Couch.  Great, funny guy.  I told Mike one time I will root for you except when you play IU.  The gang would get together at my house and watch UK basketball games and grill steaks in the winter. So sorry to hear this!  Sucks big time!

That's rough Nips - sorry for your loss; sounds like the guy left so many good-time memories with so many people.

A life well-lived.
