X-Hoosier Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Fun fact: this is the "losingest" tourney bracket in history. FortWayneHoosier 1 Quote
Naturalhoosier Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 One thing the committee did get right however, is keeping LSU out. I was 100% certain that they would squeeze LSU in because of Simmons exposure. FortWayneHoosier, WayneFleekHoosier and Bobman1 3 Quote
VO5 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 Funny thing I noticed about our team when they found out the bracket..Rojo got a smug look on his face and said "5 seed?" These guys feel disrespected imo. Bobman1 1 Quote

BlueDevil Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I just tuned in did I miss it? Yeah he was only on for 5 or so minutes. Basically stated he was grateful for the 5 seed and they were happy to be apart of the tournament. Brought up thy were all excited to be big ten champs and they talked about his play a little bit. HoosierAloha Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 The Oklahoma AD (head of selection committee) found a way to get Tulsa in. I wouldn't have been too surprised if the NCAA would have found a way to get the fighting Simmons in the field. Quote
AKHoosier Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 I wonder how many times the terms "marketing" or "profitability" were thrown around in the selection committee room, especially in our region. It's like the committee is a bunch of CEOs who think they're the smartest guys in the room, rather than knowledgeable followers of college basketball. HoosierAloha 1 Quote

BlueDevil Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 ESPN just asked the dumbest question I have ever seen. "Would you rather lose in the first four, or win the NIT?" Quote
Defenserocks28 Posted March 14, 2016 Posted March 14, 2016 ESPN just asked the dumbest question I have ever seen. "Would you rather lose in the first four, or win the NIT?" Not trying to troll, but if I had a young team needing experience, and if I actually knew they'd lose in the first four in the NCAA tourney via a crystal ball, I would absolutely take winning the nit. Added experience, more practice, more games. WayneFleekHoosier, Parakeet Jones, waitingon6 and 1 other 4 Quote
