Very nice IU quotes in that article, but my favorite pro-IU quote was the one where Tim Langford said they were going to watch a game at Vandy. Where the heck do recruits sit? Behind the staff and players under the basket?!? That can’t be helpful for recruiting.

I am hearing the same rumors too. I can also say though that I have spoke with some of the coaches and a school administrator and they have no idea. Say his recruitment is still honestly open and the Langford’s are still trying to figure out which school is best for him.

Probably because 2/3 of them (or more) are Loserville fans and they just want to bust IU's chops.

But either way I don't think local fandom plays a major role there. There's a higher probability that someone in the local population has heard information at any given point and it spread. But who knows at what point in the recruitment that might have been.
