IU vs Alcorn St Post Game Thread

Recommended Posts

In the first half we gave up a lot of putbacks because guys were giving very little effort on rebounds. It got better in the second half and Alcorn State also hit some awkward looking shots.

That said, our help D is still weak and we still aren't communicating well on that end of the floor.

If we wanna gain some respect back in the CBB world, it's from beating Duke. Sure, I'll take the W, but Alcorn hasn't won a game all season. Does Crean keep the small ball lineup?

Their front line is 6'9", 6'9", 7'0", and they're athletic.   A small ball lineup will be difficult.   Hell, both guards they start are 6'5".  Not sure what lineup works best, but I don't know how we match up with them with just Bryant on the interior.  Guess we'll see.

Ah, others not I, were right. I personally would have preferred to win 85 to 25 to show a commitment to focusing on defense but I suppose we are what we are.

What, you didn't watch the post game interview with Crispin? Crean said he was happy because the guys did focus on defense.

Im not convinced any defense stepped up. Of course it looks that way against that terrible team. I'd love to see it crank up against duke. Would absolutely be over the moon. We can't get excited about the potential of this season until we see the team actually lock in against a real opponent
