Gelon. Which I suppose applies to him too.

True, but Durham committed very early in relation the rest of the kids in his class. Also, we've seen great flashes of Durham and he looks very athletic, which I think the staff can develop into a good, and consistent player.

In the category of FWIW, the following was from a day 2 & 3 summary of Vic's Skills Academy.    "Capable" jump shooter stands out because he's not proven to be a very consistent shooter especially on 3's, despite the 3 for 6 game he had on Thursday. [32% FG shooter and only 25% on 3's for his 16-game AAU season prior to Vic's event.]  He does do a good job of drawing fouls as he gets to the line a lot and shoots 75% on his FT's.

"Durham is a natural scorer. He changes pace well in the half court and keeps his defender guessing while he slides to the rim. He is a capable jump shooter, but is best when slashing to the paint which he did on a number of plays on Thursday. He dropped 15 points in 20 minutes on 50% shooting from three.

Durham's AAU team played in a 3-day event called Best of the South this weekend in Suwanee, GA, with 72 participating teams.  Durham played 5 games and his team won the tournament.  Unfortunately, no individual stats are available but I did see one tweet to the effect that Durham had continued his hot shooting.   The only other team that participated that I saw with IU interest was Trendon Watford's Alabama Challenge but can't provide any details of his individual performance.

Why isn't this kid ranked higher than what he is? He is performing. Definitely underrated

247 has him at 187. Composite 224.

1. EYBL performance didn't impress. Consistently shot low percentages.

2. Played with best scoring guard in country in Sexton. Cast a big shadow and probably didn't put Durham in a favorable spot.

3. I still think he is underrated but he's got to put up consistent numbers to move up. All the big movers put up huge summers. The ones that didn't are ranked on potential (size, etc.)

An intriguing prospect to me. I see potential but was definitely hoping he would emerge this Summer. Great kid. Great family. Loves IU. Rooting for him big.
