Alex Poythress is actually going to put in four years!   Marcus Lee will be back, then Ullis sp?

Poythress, Lee and Ulis is it from their regular rotation. Seldom-used reserves Derek Willis and Dominique Hawkins will be juniors. Everyone else will be a freshman.

in all honesty, those are 5 good players. Skal is top 5 good. They will get Newman, Zimmerman, and at least 1 other 5 star. Diallo? Thon? Brown? Ingram?

Just disgusting.

I saw someone say Skal was handling Thon at the Nike Summit practices.

They no doubt will have the best class but I don't see them having the same success as this years squad. This years squad had Cauley Stein (jr.) and the Harrison twins (soph). Pythress has experience as does Ulis but Lee has next to no experience plus all the freshman, it won't be the same for them. They will be a good team still

interesting. I've watched him. He is a shooter but the 2 games I saw he was broke. He is much better than what I saw but it wasn't impressive.

Anyway he could handle the ball from what you seen? We need a point guard or thon and that's the bottom line.

he's a combo guard. More a shooter. Played off the ball the games I watched. Rob Johnsonesque. Less ball handling but my sampling is little. He got locked down in one of those games. Like I say, probably much better than those games indicated. He was about #70 recruit at the time.

That's kind of how I see it. I don't really see them landing in the NIT, but probably struggling at times during SEC play before peaking in March.

One thing that really stands out to me is the difference in their fans' reactions toward this compared to what you'd likely see here. It's amazing how having a coach with a strong track record for success can instill such a strong sense of confidence in the fans. They just lost 70% of their team to the NBA and their fans are excited about what the next class will bring, whereas we had fans who were scared to death that a coaching change would destroy the program.

I'd love to see most of these recruits kind of get together and talk a little and be like. Let's not go to pUKe guys! Look at the guys that didn't get better at UK. Alex Poy, Archie Goodwin, James Young, Darius Miller, Doron Lamb, Marquise Teague, DeAndre Liggins, Josh Harrellson, Daniel Orton, and oh yeah Andrew/Aaron Harrison. Can't say those guys are having "successful careers" in the league.
Here is something else I thought was interesting to me. Of the 11 players that were drafted from Memphis, only 2 of those are having a long successful career and those are D Rose and Tyreke. So what am I trying to say? Kids, don't let this sleazeball fool you anymore! Go somewhere else

I watched highlights of their one on one drills against each other. I give the VERY slight edge to Skal. Both looked terrible.

Terrible lol? I can't tell if you're kidding

No they honestly looked horrible. Skal had one possession that looked impressive. Outside of that, they both looked horrible. These were 1 on 1 post up drills, so that explains a lot. Neither player is very skilled in the low post. A lot of that has to do with strength.
