Where did I say everything was "fine and dandy". If a fan cannot support his team on selection Sunday then I guess I might as well watch Nascar! Do you hope your team does not make the big dance?? Do you hope that once your team makes the big dance that they are a one and done? Come on man. I'm only going to pick my team if they are the number one favorites. How pathetic is that.

No one said that.  They said you can be a fan and still be realistic.  The 3 is unreliable and our defense has to improve just to be called atrocious, combining those two mean realistically this team won't do much if it makes the tournament.  All the positive thought in the world won't make the 3 reliable or make us a good defensive team.

 

And I'll even say if we make the tournament I want no part of UK, because I'd rather not see us lose by 50 and UK won't let up at 30 like Wisconsin did.

Here is the thing, most of the fans have come out and said they want them to be in, a select few don't. You're talking about questioning people's fandoms because they don't think they'll do well in the tournament. They aren't saying they aren't supporting the program. You're talking about a sect of the fan base who is and hasn't been very vocal on these boards. And the fine and dandy comment goes back to last year when people called others non-fans when they said anything negative about the state of the program.

Again there is a huge difference between being a fan and supporting the program and just blindly thinking they're going to win it all and thinking that equates to being a fan.

For the record I hope they make it in, don't think they'll do well, we literally can't defend many tournament teams well enough.
