IU Hoosier41

Selection Sunday Thread

I agree, to an extent. This team has the ability to shoot lights out and beat anyone in the country. We've seen that team once or twice this year, primarily the Maryland win.

If I'm UK or Duke or Virginia, the last thing I want is to have to face Indiana early in the tournament. Those teams most likely win, but IU actually has the capability to win a game like that because of their shooting.

That being said, it would require a miraculous performance for IU to beat one of those top teams.

Yep im also on record for saying as a Duke fan I would like to stay away from IU.

If we are in, my bracket will have them I playing for the championship. I can't pick against my Hoosiers.

True, but then i won't a billion dollars.... haha

Maybe we can pull a Uconn?

Uconn did an amazing job that year. They had to win their conferance tournament to get in then went on to win the whole thing! I have never liked Uconn but got to respect that feat.

I'd say I have a better chance of waking up next to Emma Watson.

It would take an astronomical improvement in defense. You're not gonna do much when your D aspires to be a sieve.

If only crean would can that awful 2-3 zone... jesus that thing looks like a middle school defense. It sure would be nice if April could come in and play some D.

I dont agree, but Jay Will is a classy dude and has always been Pro-IU.

Jay has been really good this year. I used to like Bilas, but that guy has gone off the rails...way off the rails. I do miss Digger.

Someone's gonna have to become our resident bracketologist/bracketeer.

I have been doing "bracketology" long before Lunardi ever showed up on ESPN. I never talked about it for years because I fogured people would think it was a strange hobby and not get it. Now I see people getting paid for doing it and I think maybe I should have mentioned it earlier. Oh well.

For the record, I think IU is in unless UConn wins.

This is usually me, but this year it's gonna take REALLY good matchups for me to pick us.

ha! Now here lies a supreme optimist. Impressive.

Edit- I say we are about 40/60 chance of winning a play in game

Wayne, no disrespect but there is nothing impressive about supporting my team. A team I grew up loving, a team that I could not wait until the next game. I know it's been tough for us fans but it is what it is let's hope for the best.

You all are nuts. Who cares about anything but Indiana making the dance.

"We should never been in this position."

"I just want the season over"

"INDIANA should never be a bubble team."

Ahhhhh - get over yourselves. At the beginning of the season Indiana had 1 Main Goal - Make the tournament.

Every team that makes the tournament will have to win 5-6 games against quality opponents to win the whole thing. If you get in, you have a chance. Many of you are losing perspective here. I want to be dancing. The future of IU will take care of itself.

The future will take care of itself...??? Is that code for the decision has been made already and it's not been let out. Creans demeanor that past 3 games indicates something has happened. He has been calm and at peace, post game interviews he has gotten emotional.

if that's the case I have no problem going 100% behind the program. Notice I said program and not a single team. What is best for this team might not be the best for the program, unless the decision has already been made.

You should never give up on the team. The program will sort itself out in time. Winning is always the cure. These boys are still fighting, and need the support.

supporting them is entirely different than thinking they will win 3 or 4 games in the dance. I support them too, but I also am pragmatic enough to pick who I think will win and not who I want to win.

I went to the IU/Kentucky games in Indianapolis year after year to support the team but I also knew/figured we'd lose.

I also sadly picked Syracuse to beat IU in 2012 but rooted for and supported that team until the end.
