Potential fallout from coaching change

Recommended Posts

I'm in the over 50 crowd and feel very connected to the real world.
When Knight was let go i felt like it was time for a change.I really felt like he had became a caricature of himself.
I wasn't ready for the drop off in fundamental basketball that has occurred since he was let go.
What we have now is almost unbearable to watch.I watch Virginia or Wisconsin and yearn for that kind of discipline.
Hell, I can watch a Louisville or KY game and see great defense being played.
I can't even feel good on game day anymore because i know the product on the floor win or lose is going to be a joke..
At this point i think any coach with the slightest inkling of fundamental basketball would be better than this.

i agree. I didn't mean to offend. My thoughts were the "older" fanbase was more fully attached/connected to Bobby. It may be more like 70 year olds nowadays. I'm no spring chicken anymore either but my mind thinks otherwise. 50 was likely a gross underestimate.

His contract really ends 2020?

I just cant......

Fred Glass and Tom Crean both need to go. Now.

That's just a number/year.

I would like to see some members reaction if Fred can pull off a significantly lower buyout.

Sort of similar, I wonder how the few posters who believe Glass comments this week as absolute but then turns around and does the opposite. Will they resent Glass?

I prefer sustainability, the situation is no longer sustainable and needs to be terminated asap...what's the quickest way for that to happen?

If it happens because a bunch or ne'er-do-wells and "boosters" boycot the MSU game I might just forget the whole Indiana thing I've been in love with for 4 decades. When that kind of stuff happens, it's not the same place to me.

I don't give a rats ass what the millennials think, Indiana has been and should be, different.

Is there a source or link?

I'm wondering if it's not the same thing that was posted earlier that mods deleted because it was premie on another site.

If so I could certainly understand it.  He's caught a lot of heat lately, deservedly so IMO but a lot of heat nonetheless.

Yea let's just blame it on the "millennials" that makes perfect sense.

I'll blame it on anyone I want to. They feel entitled and everyone else feels like, why not me too.

The discussions was "students" boycotting the game.

Go play xbox or something, Lord knows you won't be working.

And you took a shot at all millenials.

Although that literally made no sense but what was the point of taking personal shots because I called you on your post?

Well then you should blame those who raised the millenials. I mean they obviously learned it from somewhere.

I do, but it's as much the "pc" crowd as the parents that "raise" kids these days.

You don't have to learn to be lazy and entitled, once you are allowed to, most do.

It's much easier to do the wrong thing, than the right thing.

It's so far from reasonable to think it's better to get the coach fired, than to cheer the team on, it's crazy.

At some point soon he'll either be fired or he won't. We're still 1 decent (not even great) big away from making serious noise next year, it's laughable for all this crying.
