Potential coaching change suggestions

Recommended Posts

For me:
1. Stevens
2. Bennett
3. Donovan
4. Hoiberg
5. Archie Miller
6. Mark Few
7. Chris Collins

I think Archie Miller could be great here. Same for Collins but I don't think we would go after him

I would wet myself if we got him. But in reality, what are the odds he leaves Florida?

I don't think he'd leave, but he's flirted with it before so who knows. He's getting to the point he needs to decide if he's a Florida lifer or not. Who knows, maybe he'd be up for a new challenge or he's tired of being second fiddle on his own campus which at UF he is and always will be.

"10 coaches who could replace coach Crean and instantly bring new vitality to the IU basketball program"

10. Tim Tebow. Like us, he prays; he prays a lot. And let's face it, this program needs a lot of prayer
9. President Obama. He could make us believe we're winning, even when we're having our asses handed to us.
8. Courtney Love. Drugs, and lots of em'. We'd never even notice the lousy defense
7. Pamela Anderson. I'd run harder. Wouldn't you?
6. Richard Simmons. If anyone could teach our boys how to correctly play "man to man" it'd be Richard Simmons
5. Bob Knight. Say what you will, but we WOULD play %@&$^'n defense!
4. Edith Clifford-Legendary sword swallower. Choking will be a thing of the past
3. John Wooden-Sure, he's dead, but he still has potential for a better future than Tom Crean
2. Mike Pence. Actually, Mike made me put his name here under the threat of losing my job. And I live in Minnesota!
1. Brad Stevens. He's the bespectacled savior, the wunderkind, the new John Wooden. Anyone who can make the Celtics look even remotely competent, and take Butler to the final four, twice, has my vote. We need to do whatever it takes, however much it takes, to convince him, then land him. It likely won't happen, but it's what should happen.

. My favorite post EVER!

. Technically, Pamela Anderson could hold both the #7 and #4 spots. You should consider it.

Thats not what I'm saying, that they would leave IU. I'm saying, for example lets use Chris Collins. A young coach, good history having worked under coach K, a lot of people think he's getting it together at NW but he hasn't proven yet that he can be an elite head coach. I'm saying, go ahead and if he is the right candidate, get the "Chris Collins" type so he can blossom here instead of at another program.

EDIT: Note* this is not a support of Chris Collins, simply a post using his name as an example of a young coach seen as having potential

. Collins would have been the perfect hire at the time we hired Crean. Now it's HomeRun or bust unfortunately.

Donovan could be interested in winning a title at 2 different schools. The only person to do so is his mentor Pitino. Highly successful people are wired differently. Heck, even RMK flirted with going to New Mexico after the 87 NC.

Not saying BD would do it, but it is an angle I would present to him.
