The purdue Gold and Black board is ripping CMP this morning> Pretty hilarious stuff.

He can't coach defense. he can't develop players, he has these crazy substitution patterns, and some even saying his seat is getting pretty warm.

I sat in front of the Purdue student section at the game yesterday (not by choice) and they were unpleased to say the least. They talked about the substitutions of Haas and Hammons when each got a foul. And then the group of 5 on the court that didn't have any offensive abilities. But they were just rude the whole day. They also talked about how CTC and Painter were different coaches and Painter actually knew the X's and O's but Crean had passion in recruiting.

In recent years college basketball officials have placed more of an emphasis on hand-checking. Now that Purdue isn't allowed to play tackle football and hand-check the crap out of everyone, they've become very easy to score against. 

 

 

Chris Kramer wouldn't last two minutes in a game today before fouling out. His entire game was grabbing and mugging his opponent into turnovers.

I read on a thread over there that Painter has a larger buy out than CTC.

Pretty ironic when you think about it.  The PUke faithful were ecstatic when he was hired because he was a Keady disciple and now they'd love to get rid of him.  On the other hand, a lot of the Hoosier Nation faithful won't be satisfied until a Knight disciple is on the sidelines in Assembly Hall.  Be careful what you wish for.

Few gained more from the Davis-Sampson transition than Painter. Getting Hummel/Johnson/Moore to Purdue was huge and at least with Hummel I am confident he would not have gone there if IU had the right coach in place.
