Which coaching decisions didn't you like?

starting hanner second half over holt but it worked so that was ok. I didn't like some of the lineups he had in but ultimately we got the win and I wont take credit from crean on that now just got to keep it going and play great next Tuesday and get some life in this fan base

We can leave it open if people will be constructive. It's funny cause we read about our weak schedule all of the time. We beat a power conference school and then suddenly we shouldn't enjoy it? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

 

You are better than I am, I would have locked it lol. I don't mind the idea of the thread, but the delivery was terrible and trollish.

I can understand the concern with some of the odd lineups. I actually liked starting Hanner again. Crean is challenging Hanner after watching Holt outplay him. As great as Holt was, we're gonna need HMP to play at a higher level still. Definitely have seen improvement from him in recent games.

Pitt barely beat Samford by 7. Also by Hawaii by 4. Only beat Chaminade by 13. San Diego St drilled em by 17. Pitt absolutely crushed K-State by 23, and they are worse than we are. So nothing here that impresses me. Don't know about you guys.

We still have a really really really loooooong way to go!

The deal is, our two best scorers didn't score well, but we did. We controlled (absolutely controlled) all but five minutes of this game, and got better on the boards as the game went on.

 

We were better in the second half than the first.

 

We took care of the ball.

 

We were up by over 20 without shooting particularly well.

 

We didn't finish that great around the rim and still dominated points in the paint.

 

We played four freshmen tonight and each of them made positive contributions.

 

We played 3 sophomore and each made positive contributions.

 

Our zone attack was good.

 

Our half court defense was much improved though still not great and still had lapses in transition.

 

If we have a long way to go it is still less far  to go than last week...

I like that view giving me a different perspective on that plus it worked. Question to u is who would u start next game?

I want to reward Holt, but I think Hanner's confidence and comfort is fragile. Start him again. He's showing progress and I don't think we can afford to risk that. No matter how great Holt is, we need Hanner.

You would start Holt? I wouldn't be upset by that either.

Damn!!! You a party-pooper dude! Lol

I do agree some with both sides of the discussion on this post though.

Pitt ain't great but they ain't terrible and it sounds like we did make some improvements. (Won't be able to watch it until I get home...but it sounds as if they played better)

Board also needs to be cleaned up from attacking posts for not reason. Just saying......

 

Not one person in this thread thought this post was insightful or a great addition. If you're cool with having two or three additional post game threads just o get people riled up, we might as well go back to 247. That's why I left that site. There isn't anything here that could not have been said in the post game thread, which will have less posts than this by tomorrow. It's ridiculous

I dont agree with this mentality just not the way I was raised on ball. I guess when I was growing up people didn't care about your confidence being fragile u had to earn minutes like holt has but I also could see u being right and a better way approaching this situation interesting
