The State of our program- How do you guys feel about it?

Our house at Thanksgiving was pretty evenly divided between run Crean out of town and give him a little while longer because of all the good things he has done---but the general consensus is that he has 2 years tops to get it right.

 

I am still in the ---he has this year to get us back to the tourney camp---but it was interesting hearing the differences of opinions among die hard Hoosier fans in Southern Indiana.

What makes you think it will be better next season?

Because Crean has already shown once that he can build a team capable of winning the Big Ten Title--was ranked #1 in the country --and had the talent to challenge for a National Championship.  No reason to think we can't do it again---our guards have the talent---a big away.

 

I expect us to get to the tourney this year--- and be top 15 next year. Anything less will be disappointing to me---and my prediction is Crean does not survive.

 

I EXPECT us to be contenders----but even contenders have down years like last year---just can't happen again this year. I am keeping an open mind to see how it all plays out.

Who gives a rats ass about next year! We got beat at HOME by EW!!! AT HOME!!!! And just barely hanging on to Lamar and UNC Greenville state tech a&t or whoever. This program is not turning into a joke, it is a joke. Funny thing is, that some of you on here are accepting it and want to talk "next year" already and we're not even out of November yet! Are u listening to yourself!!?? Come on now! This is not even mediocre, this is pathetic!

I agree. Why should we have to wait until next year. We should have some who is running the program who is constantly putting a good contending team out on the court. I don't expect the final four every year. That's a little much. We should be ranked and expecting at least a sweet sixteen every year. Not saying we make it every year because everyone gets upset but we should have to talent to do it every year.

Why does that make them any less obsessed? A bully can be obsessed with their target. A soldier obsessed with the enemy. They don't have to love us to be obsessed. Bringing up the same school over and over despite the topic being entirely unrelated? It means they can't get us out of their heads, however they express it.

When you look at their roster/personnel do you realistically think they can/will turn it around?Not sure I see that possibility.
Sad thing is that I'm not so sure I see a possibility of it happening next year.

I understand your frustration and hope you are wrong as well.

I do believe we have the personnel ---and I expect us to win and make the tourney with 2 burger boys and multiple 4 stars. Or else--I will be ready for change too.
