(2015) PF Juwan Morgan to IU

Recommended Posts

For the record if we get Juwan Morgan.....

I will lose a speck (or more) of respect for The Crystal Ball and Jerry Meyer.

Didn't JM kinda go against us when we started missing on guys like Pinson and Goodluck? I kinda remember him commenting about something going on at Indiana. We had led for several guys then lost in the end and he commented on it.

Yeah that was a big deal. I wish more would have come away from that. Wonder what he knew or thought he knew. Very odd behavior by him.

I wonder if, assuming he does not know anything for certain, that this might stem from that. Sort of similar, we led for Morgan and have recruited him a long time. Hopefully we can close it out.

I am a little more concerned that the Inside Indiana insider also CBd for Vandy and reiterated those thoughts tonight

McCarthy? Where did he reiterate the thoughts?

Alex McCarthy said... (original post)
Morgan told me he's announcing Wednesday, likely between Vanderbilt and IU, but I still expect it to be Vanderbilt, as we've put on the Crystal Ball.

McCarthy subtweeted us (as a collective website). Screw him.

He posted on the 247 site about 3 hours ago. Some of the posters there poked fun at him because he had made his selection the same day as JM so it is possible he is just following. I just think he would share some of the optimism we have being an Indiana insider but apparently not.

When?

Can't remember. During one of the many spring controversies I think. 41 released some info that no one else had and McCarthy subtweeted him (referring to Banners as a whole). Info ended up being legit, McCarthy looked dumb. Everyone wins.

I remember that. I don't remember the exact words but it was something along the lines of "To clarify an unfounded rumor from a fan site."

Here's the tweet:

@akmccarthy: To clarify an unfounded #iubb rumor about a preferred walk-on (FREE): http://t.co/lttFRuRAJG

Here's the article: Killer first sentence man!

There was a rumor started on a popular IU fan site that Northridge (Ind.) High School forward Nate Richie will be joining the IU program in the fall as a preferred walk-on. Usually, those decisions are not made nearly this early, and that is indeed the case with Richie, his coach Ronnie Thomas confirmed to Inside Indiana.
“It’s not true,” Thomas said of the post. “I have been in contact with coaches in regards to Nate walking on, but nothing’s been finalized or anything.”
Thomas said Richie will be attending IU in the fall, but nothing has been decided yet in terms of his basketball future. We’ll continue to monitor this, but IU is much more concerned with its scholarship additions right now than its future walk-ons.
