IUBB early signing period starts Nov. 12th

Recommended Posts

Facts are that most of the committed kids sign on the first day of the signing period. The ones that don't usually haven't made up their minds which school they plan to attend. South Carolina just secured the #21 ranked player in the nation and he signed right after he committed. Another top 50 recruit is waiting to tomorrow to commit and all signs also point to SC. Granted these are hometown kids and one is a legacy player. But Indiana should always be signing 5 stars in every class just like the other 4/5 top national programs. I wouldn't be surprised if these 2 unsigned kids were letting things shake out at other programs maybe looking to sign elsewhere. Probably a good idea since our program and head coach is in a state of flux and probable transition. Also, with a new coach better recruits may be available in the spring. It can work both ways.

Wow. That seemed to go sideways in a hurry.  :ninja:

When you assume...is a funny phrase. I don't think the intent was to actually call you an ass. You're reading too much into it. At least that's what I assume...;)

in some cases I would agree. From certain posters I'd take it like that but previous experiences have steered me that direction.

Either way, I'm over it, but it's another note in the memory bank from how some posters treat other posters.

I never disparage others opinions. I don't attack the Pro-Crean camp ever. I state my opinions and assumptions and I "feel" I get attacked from the Pro-Crean camp.

It's a problem here and it's getting worse.

I don't even classify myself as a Anti-Crean because I truly recognize some of the great things he's done. But after these recent events, I think Crean's reputation is damaged nationally and for him to change that will be a major challenge.

I have not been calling for Crean's firing AT ALL, until this past month when all the transgressions were revealed.

Prior to that, I've loudly wondered why our recruiting fell off a cliff.

Was I pissed about sub patterns and inbounds plays? Of course. Did I call for his firing then? No, because he is human and can/will learn from mistakes.

Recent events are of a whole different and serious variety.

You guys, this is not a bad sign at all!!!   It's just a one week difference and they are still signing in the early signing period.   You should be alarmed if they wait and deffer to the spring signing time.

Think if it was you signing to play for the Hoosiers, it's not only getting into the basketball program, but it's "getting accepted" into college, most people celebrate that with family and it is a BIG DEAL!   the difference of just a few days to sign doesn't change anything, and it's being read into to at a craycray amount.

Thank You!  Jesus, why is everything so difficult to understand for some?

Obviously those of us who are concerned are just plain stupid. Everything is difficult for us to understand because our basketball I.Q. is not as high as some people's on this board. But, thank God, we continue to try to learn from our betters.

We're not worthy!

Can I have some of the stuff that poster is having?????

I heard Juwan would only sign his first name on the LOI so he can later contest it and get out of it.  However, I heard that THE GENERAL will be pacing the sidelines at IU again so the top two rated players at each position will sign in the Spring to IU.  Yeah this is some good stuff...

There is absolutely zero reason to worry about this.... you guys are too much!

Both have confirmed that they are signing with IU. It's over. Done with. They aren't being recruited elsewhere at this point.

I agree that they will most likely sign but the delay does create a little concern. Even though they are not being recruited elsewhere they could decide to wait until spring and could be using this week to just process the recent IU issues some more.

Again, may be no worries but we had a guy bolt on the football program recently after assuring us he was coming.

"I'm happy with IU and what's going on there," he (Tommy Stevens) said. "I'm still committed to the Hoosiers. Unless something happens where they turn their back on me, and I don't expect that, I can't wait to get down there."

You assume we are worried at losing 100+ rated recruits. With only 3 of the top 15 recruits expected to sign in the fall, should I assume we may have a shot at better recruits this spring with a new coach?

Not enough open schollies for the General to do that.As long as you were in good academic standing and could put down the bong, you kept your scholly.

Not true whatsoever. We just talked about Knight kicking off three marginal players for pot, but allowing Woodson, Turner, and Tolbert to remain.

Indiana has zero chance at those kinds of players unless they are willing to play the game. Not the case under our coach. This won't change. And it's really sick how obsessed you are over Tom Crean. Your reality is that he is already no longer our coach. That is true delusion.

What are you even talking about? Is this posted in the correct thread?
