IU vs Northwood game thread

Recommended Posts

I don't think it has anything to do with basketball. You can't help that some people have a predisposition to get injured. Especially these skinny, tall guys. Their bones seem to be weaker because of fast growth. Im not doctor but in all my years following sports it seems these tall skinny guys have that problem. I think April and Peter can play just fine, but their bodies fail them

And for every April and Peter, you have a Bawa or Tijan.

Touché. I think those guys were the simple case of need a body thrown in there. I think this whole seven foot experiment has been a tradition at IU. Mike Davis sure had his fair share of 6' 11''/7 foot experiments hahah

Tijan did nothing but hustle his ass off for the program. Wasn't gifted especially for basketball, but there was never a lack of effort.

I never said there was a lack of effort. My point was, for whatever reason, Crean manages to have a 7-foot bench warmer. Injuries, lack of ability, or whatever, why waste the scholly?

How many points and minutes have these 7-footers actually managed in Crean's 6 years. I understand that there are 50 of these guys for every Cody Zeller, but why put yourself and them through it. Let them go to a D-II or D-III school where the healthy ones can play.

That’s all I am saying.
