Freshman mistake. They probably should’ve shot a three on the previous possessions but didn’t either.  Essfian was open and is a dead-eye. If he makes that they have a real chance at winning.

Yes, it PROBABLY was off Griesel.  But IMO looking for 'direction change' of the ball isn't actually looking for actual contact.

Why is Hoiberg calling timeout between free throws? If he misses the second, it has to be a full-court heave.

HORRIBLE time out by Hoiberg.  Minnesota missed the free throw.  Minnesota up 2, 1.3 seconds left, 1 free throw left for Minny.  Seems pretty obvious to try to miss the free throw and force a full court heave.  Hoiberg keeps the timeout, he could have diagrammed something.
