On Wisky, it’s my eye test.  The Houston win was big. Can’t take that away.  They won several games that’s could have gone either way.  They just aren’t that good.  I think it will bare out.  
 

But the rest of my comments is where I stand because it isn’t a vacuum to me.  Unless we turn a magical corner we are a fringe tourney team.  We look like it with the eye test and every transitive property I think about.  Some people have 20 years of frustration built up and are looking for a breakthrough. We aren’t seeing it.  That and the administration are the main reasons we haven’t came back and likely won’t.   NIL opened the doors to compete with the big boys.  Another new Avenue of hope, plus a coach.  It’s not trending like we want to be a blue blood. 

It would have been better on the fanbase to have UW lead the entire way and win by 5 against Indiana. I've always been in the "just make the tournament" mindset because some of our players are average, including the point guard. IU is on track to do that as long as they don't lose to a bottom feeder and pick off a couple of quad 1 wins at home. Looks like we are on track for 8th in the Big Ten and that should get us in. And I think the NIL must be in place in some fashion. Scoop and JHS didn't commit to Indiana just to sell a few T-shirts. Just make the Dance and the program will improve with better players.

You totally are missing the point.  Believing in my own eyes is meaningless to anyone else.  

Everyone thinks their eyes are good.  I believe in my eyes.  You believe in your eyes.  Someone else believes in their eyes.  Saying your eyes are 'good' is a meaningless statement unless you can show someone else what you see.

Kentucky up 30-28 at half at Notre Dame.

No free throws shot by either team yet.  Not sure the last time that happened.

UK was actually 0-10 from three in the first half as well....so all their first half points came on two point shots.

First free throws coming up of the game with 17:53 left in the second half as UK goes to the line (funny thing was it came after a clear UK travel.....I'm sure they've missed some calls that should have resulted in free throws, but this one shouldn't have.

Is UK actually playing at Notre Dame, or is it being played at whatever neutral court nearest to South Bend was available?

My eyes aren't what they used to be. So I don't put much faith in my eye test. As a side note, the longer I live, the less I think I know.

UK up 2 at the under 12.  UK pretty much getting all of their points on layups and dunks…..can’t hit a jumper.  Hit their first three 27 minutes in.

Note for when IU plays Notre Dame…ND’s guards tend to back off of shooters and double quickly.

It would be pretty awesome if Notre Dame won it with a 3 at the buzzer. Calipari would probably never play in this state again.

Notre Dame wins.  Bucket at 12 seconds left put them up 2.  Driving layup by UK no good and they don't foul, ND dunk at the buzzer.

Honestly, it was a low quality game.  ND didn't do anything special -- more about what UK didn't do.  ND gave them the perimeter and UK couldn't hit.  ND able to keep rebounding even by having their guards sag and crash along with the bigs. 

Offensively, ND scored 66 mostly when UK lost their man defensively.  Really poor effort by UK.

Calipari had court rushed on him so can't come back to Notre Dame but it wasn't a buzzer beater:). Makes Irish a bit more challenging but also a better win if IU gets it. Need to avoid the 2-19 from three UK just pulled. That was main reason they lost.

Yup. If IU can just go 7-19 rather than 2-19 from three they have a really good chance.

Hit perimeter shots and ND can't cheat off the three point line like they did.  Also allowed ND to win the board battle as they packed it in.  UK was averaging +19 rebounds coming in and lost the board battle by 6.
