Teams like Murray State struggle to schedule up. And if they do, they are road games. Power 5 teams aren’t expected to win on the road, but you expect mid majors to consistently win on the road? You have to use the eye test with them. It is all there is.

Not true at all... you think they would have trouble scheduling Home & Homes with teams like South Dakota State, Utah State, Yale, Old Dominion, Grand Canyon, Fresno State, Vermont, San Francisco, etc... all of those would be much more impressive than anything they have done (Austin Peay).

And if not then ok schedule them on the road, if you want to be legit you start there and then if you can handle it and win then others will be forced to come to your home for them to be legitimized. Go to Toledo, Liberty, Lipscomb, etc...

YES I would expect a Mid-Major or a Power 5 to be able to go on the road to those type of teams and win... may lose 1 or so but if you can't win in those type of places consistently then you don't deserve to be an At Large Bid in the NCAA Tourney.

I don’t see anyway Murray St gets in if they lose in their conference tournament
22 wins against teams 133 or lower
Best wins is at 133 Austin Peay
0 top 100 wins
SOS-258

Guess we'll see. I agree, I don't think they should get in either. BUT we all know how much the NCAA loves that money money money.

Or teams like Murray St can schedule other good mid-Majors and schedule home and home in the same year like Belmont did this hear. Belmont swept Lipscomb this year in the non-conference and earned a Quad 1 and Quad 2 out of scheduling high mid majors. Coaches who use the excuse of scheduling high majors in the non conference maybe they need to take a different approach because the system isn’t changing anytime soon. Maybe they should look at scheduling bottom teams of power conferences because with the quad system playing on the road to a team like SMU would still be a Quad 2 win

Well Indiana can’t even win in those places consistently. Do we deserve in? No tourney hopeful team is going to take a chance playing a good mid major because they consider a lose-lose. A reason Kansas never wanted a home and home with Wichita State. It was only good for Wichita State. Teams like other mid majors are trying to get wins because they can’t afford losses. And mid majors can’t risk losing to other mid majors as it hurts them. It’s a complicated yet simple part of college basketball. You’re never going to get Indiana traveling to IPFW again. You’re never going to get Duke going to Wofford. I think one of the only top teams to travel this season was North Carolina who went to Wofford and Elon. Perception is important. And Monmouth proved that just playing some okay type teams doesn’t mean jack squat.

The system that was in place proved that Monmouth didn’t mean jack squat winning games in the road however the new quad system would benefit that Monmouth team. If this system was in place that year Monmouth would of gotten in

So in summary every Mid-Major wants/needs games but none (not many) are willing to take the risk of losing those games that could help them so instead they play terrible teams to rack up wins and then people are upset that they don't get an At-Large bid? As USPS stated maybe these Mid-Majors need to rethink their strategy because the way they are doing it isn't getting them very far.

If Indiana played the schedule Murray State has played and had the same record then no they wouldn't deserve to be in, but if Murray State played he schedule IU has what would their record be... It is easy to look GREAT via the Eye test when your competition is subpar, that is why the eye test isn't a criteria..

One step closer to a Radford/Campbell final in the Big South tourney. Radford takes care of business against Presbyterian.

If you haven’t watch Campbell this year try to watch them this week. Clemons is a stud. I hope they make the tournament.

The $EC commish said he wanted a better basketball conference. They went out and hired coaches that are/were willing to play in the mud. It would be fitting for Wade to get $EC COY and then get a show cause by the NCAA.

Remember when we were very interested in Tremont Waters and then Crean backed off?

Waters, Naz Reid, and Javonte Smart are the core of Will Wade's #10 LSU team, and they all most certainly were paid.

Is it possible that just as Romeo favored Louisville and then they got in trouble, Watford favors LSU, they get in trouble, and he chooses something that is definitely “clean” in IU? Probably not, but we can hope

We've had this discussion before about coaches coming into a program and all of a sudden they are landing top talent left and right. LSU was on that list. I could easily venture to guess another 10-15 schools that should be on this list as well. It's just too obvious with the rampant cheating going on today.

Vandy should definitely be on that list

Hell yes they should.

Simi Shittu came down from Canada as an uncommitted five star, was recruited by pretty much nobody else, and committed to Vandy sight unseen. Riiiiight.

Yeah, he was the one I was thinking of way more than Garland. Just seemed like one of the most obvious, something is up with this recruitment scenarios in recent memory

Arizona State with Lugentz Dort stands out to me a lot too.

Kentucky with Skal Labassierre, Nerlens Noel.

Bama with Collin Sexton and John Petty.

Diamond Stone at Maryland.

Fultz at Washington.

Simmons at LSU pre-Wade.

Kansas with so, so many.

Charles Bassey at WKU.
