Maybe he was good at Arizona because of the stuff that hit the fan

Yeah. Don't dispute that at all. But what he was doing is basically done openly now, and OSU has deep pockets. Seems like a good fit to me.

I am kind of surprised that he isn't doing better at Xavier

If I were an Xavier fan, Sean Miller would be sooo dead to me haha. He left for AZ the first time... fine... but then Xavier rehabilitated his career when nobody else would touch him. Then he's up and out at the soonest opportunity. Have to imagine this burns that bridge

He lost 2 starters before the season ever started and Freemantle was probably their best player and Hunter probably in their top 4. Also lost a few guys from last season. Dude can coach though. Xavier is as good as Indiana this year with a hell of a lot less talent.

They went 23-8 (15-5) in his first year back and lost in the conference tourney finals and made a sweet 16 while earning a 3 seed.   This year they lost 2 of their projected starters early but have found a way to win some games against tourney quality teams

Xavier is a stepping stone job. Always has been. And it's one hell of one too... If you're a good coach. Skip Prosser had some good years at Xavier and a few at Wake. Matta though won 26 games in all 3 seasons and went to an Elite 8 before going to Ohio State. Then Miller went to an E8 and S16S before leaving for Zona. Mack went to 3 S16s and an E8. Travis though was absolute trash. He was their Archie. Tanked the program basically.

Xavier is a steppingstone job and IU is a job where careers go to die.

Pete Gillin was a very good coach at Xavier

Probably a little too tough of a non conference schedule for basically a team of freshman and transfers to do well early with.  Two guard transfers he got were good, especially Olivari.

Watched a couple Blocker’s EYBL games for Brad Beal Elite and he torched some good kids..Thought he would come in and help Arkansas immediately. Not sure what happened there but it wouldn’t break my heart if they reached out on him.

What in God’s name is up with Nate Oats’ sport coat?  The last thing that ugly on the sideline was Larry Brown’s 4-tone denim leisure suit when he coached in the ABA.

Nah ask my grandma about the plaid jacket Roy Williams use to wear.

Penn St gave up on the mausoleum and are playing in what appears to be their volleyball arena; therefore having an actual atmosphere.

That is the old gym they use to play in. Remember the 93 game there where we got a huge call that helped us win in ot
