Rutgers takes the lead on the road at #25 OSU. 44-42 with just under 13 to go in the 2nd half.

After being down 11. I’ll give them credit, they aren’t folding. But they also can’t keep OSU guards out of of the middle of the floor, an area where JHS sure would have helped us.

Now up 55-53 under 7 to go.

Holy crap.
Hairless nuts with a wild 3 at the buzzer to win.

He stepped OB prior to shooting. It was hard to tell but I don’t think he fully re-established in bounds before he caught the pass. Oh well.

This was my thoughts too. I think it would be hard for an official to make that call at that time.

Wow. Rutgers deserved that game.

They did until they fouled up three when still in one and one on other end. Just play defense and at worst you are in OT. You put huge pressure on your own FT shooters and bring losing into play. Just play good D as they did all night and at worst you are in OT with a chance to win. By fouling up three you lost in regulation and brought losing into play.

OSU deserves all the credit for that shot but Rutgers dug their own grave fouling up three with way to much time left and deserved what they got. For a defensive minded coach like Pikiell to not trust his d in last ten seconds was ridiculous and got what was coming to him.

I had no horse in that game but I CANNOT stand fouling up three and bringing losing in regulation into play.

Another case of intentionally fouling up by 3 at the end of a game backfiring. I have no idea why teams who do this get so much praise. The last thing you want to do as a Big Ten team on the road is create extra possessions at the end of a game.

100% agree and posted about it below your post. Its ridiculous.

Minnesota is sooooo bad. Really wish we played them twice this year

down 30-11 at home in the first half to Michigan

They are so bad it’s almost better to not play them twice if that makes sense.    From a bracketology standpoint you gain nothing by playing them and if you lose to them that’s a bad loss.   Home game against them is a Q4 and a road game is Q3 for now and trending down to the Q4 area.

If you are a bubble team, yes. if you are competing for a big ten championship against Illinois and Purdue, among others who play them twice, I disagree.
