Penn state on the verge of beating Wisconsin. Currently 35 in net. Could push them to quad 1 victory for IU if they hold on and move up into top 30.

How did Belmont look?   They had been playing really good basketball.   I haven’t gotten to watch them as much as I would of liked so far.   I will catch up on some replays for them.

Austin Peay gave them a good game. They got Jordan Adams back and up to speed, he’s really good.
Belmont’s PG Grayson Murphy took the game over the last 5 minutes to seal the win. Big rebounds and penetrating and finishing thru contact. He’s fun to watch.

Committee can't take it that seriously. 35th? I'm sure would push something like that aside.

Sure they can.  They will view them as a team that is in the mix for a bid.   Penn St has some really close losses to some good teams.  Plus their overall resume is solid just need some wins.   Efficiency numbers like penn st as well and their SOS is top 10.    Any win vs penn st will be viewed as it should be.  A resume builder.   Not all wins have to be signature wins.  Wins against these type of teams are needed for  all teams

This is something that needs to go away real quick. "Well they have close losses." Cool. They are still 6-7(4-6). It's okay to just say, they aren't good. What are close losses? Losses. Dumbest narrative ever made in sports. The justifying of losses. "They were close losses." They only lost to ranked teams." Guess what? They still lost. No logical human being can believe Penn State is a good win. This is when ratings and analytics get thrown out the window.

And it'll never change. Your record says who you are.

and teams getting credit for beating teams like penn St that have good numbers but a bad record will never change.  Wins like that will always be viewed by the committee, most college basketball analysts and the whole college basketball community as good resume building wins.  Penn St is top 35 in Ken Pom as well

on this topic you can hate it all you want but nothing is going to change.   Next Penn St game I watch I going to bet espn, BTN or fox show me a graphic of their numbers and close losses and talk about them being better then their record.   Nothing is going to change that

It's crazy how Purdue just hangs around. They've given up 6 threes, haven't hit any, and somehow they're only down by five after being down 14 earlier.

Look how that happened though..  Where was the foul on the 3 FGA?  There wasn't but they got three foul shots for it.  What was the technical foul for that got them 2 points?  It's crazy how some teams just happen to "get the breaks" and "they're in close games" regardless of how they shoot.  Watch the screens and cuts made too.

I was watching Wiscy earlier and every time Davison went into the lane on offense he put a shoulder into his defender to get space.  He didn't use his arms but used his shoulder.  There was never a foul called but he could have easily fouled out on those alone.  Iowa and purdoodoo are notorious for moving screens off the ball that go uncalled to get shooters open or curls into the lane.  It's quite maddening for teams to play against but why are they rarely called for those moving screens?

Well, Purdue was -2.5 entering the game...

No one gets credit for being a sub .500 team.
