Why did Archie not try to bring him to IU? Makes no sense unless he thinks Phinisee will be better.

He was trying to keep everyone for continuity sake and that was stated very early even before McKinley decommitted from Dayton. For someone that follows this as much as you do I know you know this.

 

Waters was never recruited by CAM. That was Crean only if I remember correctly. Then he committed to G’town and decommitted when they fired JT3. It moved quickly and nobody hardly went after him.

Archie made a mistake keeping Durham and not getting Wright. Waters could have been recruited too.

Who is to say they didn’t call waters and he said no thanks. Waters was recruited by Crean and IU lost that battle to Georgetown. He decommitted and everything I saw there was no interest on waters part to consider IU again just like tucker never considered IU again after Crean was let go. Interesting enough Wright was ranked as the 228 and the 44th best point guard and Al was 230 and the 45th best point guard.

As I have said with Durham. His shooting inadequacies from HS to AAU to IU really hamper is ability to be a positive player for us.

To me, he is a smart, likeable kid that has pretty good athleticism but until that shot is WAY better he is a disadvantage to us on the floor.

Kind of like Tum Tum Nairn for MSU last year.

Notre Dame wins the same way Florida won today, and I don't think I've ever seen a game end like that before.

A turnover on what seems like the final possession of the game turns into a last second transition basket.

Crazy.

The shot clock was off in the Mizzou game but there was a 7ish second difference in the Cuse game. ND would have gotten another shot. But those were definitely odd endings reminding me of something a certain coach would draw up.

Yeah there's a reason coaches like 3 and D guys you have to do more than just hustle on defense. At least as a guard.
