Providence's Emmitt Holt is taking a personal leave from the team for this semester. Holt is expected to return to the team in January. He's also planning to use this season as a redshirt year.

Friar coach Ed Cooley has said that Holt is recovering from abdominal surgery at his home in Rochester, N.Y. He has not been on campus since September but the program had resisted ruling the 6-8 forward out for the season until now.

Big Ten basketball is wayyy down.. pu has two of those top 25 wins (Arizona, UL) and MSU has the other (UNC).

Two really good teams. MSU wins the Big Ten easily if they stay healthy. Notre Dame should make noise on the ACC. Both teams capable of Elite 8 or Final Four.

I still think Minny will make Michigan st earn it. They got beat by a good Miami team where they played without a starter last night but from the games I’ve watched those 2 are clearly the best 2 teams in the B1G. The coach might hold Minny back

Entertaining first B1G game. Purdue had a big lead but Maryland climbed back. Purdue up 7 with 8 min to go. Haas looks like he hurt his knee. I hope he is ok. I hate seeing kids go down

Id take him in a heartbeat. Everyone says he's big with no skill but he has a great FT stroke for his size. Yeah, he's a little slow but his size more than makes up for it. I'll be glad when he's gone.
