This one takes a journalistic timing approach to make a statement that isn't necessarily true. 5/10 teams still have McDonalds AA. And many of the others who have MCDAA are threats at runs in the NCAAs, including IU, Duke, and UK. The only thing this proves is its possible to succeed without MCDAAs, but it's still less likely.
