I watched their first exhibition game this year. It was a packed house, and a rowdy one, at that. For an exhibition. I was impressed, and somewhat jealous.



Regarding Luke... I had a feeling this was going to happen. I saw the guy play his senior year in HS, and he was a man among boys. We saw flashes of it last year, but he didn't stay long enough for the rest of Hoosier Nation to see what he could do! We'd be a very different team with him this year.

I will say this about Marquette as well...I have always felt bad for Carlino. The kids dad was/is a complete nutjob. For Matt to finally look comfortable and moderately happy..good for him. Marquette still has little discipline from the 2-4, but I do expect Wojo to get that sorted out in a season or two. I am not saying they are/will be a Final Four caliber team, but I do think they can work their way up as this season progresses. Yes, its one game with Fischer in the lineup, but I would say he changes their team completely and Wojo isn't a guy to overlook that. Never was a Duke or a Wojo fan, but I was impressed with his team and his approach last night.

Glad someone else feels that way about his dad, he's completely delusional!!!  I got to see Carlino play in high school (he pretty much single handedly destroyed Columbus East) and hoped for big things from him.

Great article! and extremely interesting.    I never knew that Louisville was worth so much more than the others as a program. 

 

 

 

Edit:  I looked more into the wealthiest programs, and 8 of the B1G's 14 total teams are in the top 20 most wealthy basketball programs.  WOW!

interesting article. Shocked NW made the list. Look at those top tier programs we are smothered between. That is why our fanbase is disgruntled with Crean. Top fanbase, high paid coach, basketball school, storied program. Every reason to succeed.
