mdn82 Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 At least we are getting closer to the NFL season. Quote
X-Hoosier Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Yep exactly since we are comparing apples to apples. Well this is his job. This is basically being offered a promotion and taking it. What is wrong with that? People shouldn't strive to win? He should want it to be hard as possible to win? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app Quote
HoosierAloha Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Could Durant have thrown those games so he could leave OKC? I just think it's incredibly weak to battle a team in a 7 game series and then join up with them after they beat you. It'd be like Jordan heading to the Pistons after getting beat down. Not Durant throwing those games. I'm not convinced OKC could have won one of those last few games with him and Westbrook going for 50 each. Different era, MJ had completely different mentality. He would have made players join his team not join another team to team up with other superstars. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

Either way I don't really care. Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. I can't see how this is good for a for profit organization. Only good for GS and Durant. Good for them. Quote

Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. I can't see how this is good for a for profit organization. Only good for GS and Durant. Good for them. He got a promotion that paid less. I guess living in the Bay Area is cheaper than living in OKC so it, wait... Umm The eras are different and players have a different mentality. MJ was win at all cost, within his personal abilities. Players nowadays are win at all cost when they can join up with a team they can win with. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners mdn82 1 Quote
Chips&Dipo Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 Everyone should be happy. A super team like this makes things fun. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using BtownBanners mobile app Yeah. For bandwagon jumpers. Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Bittersince87 and mdn82 2 Quote

People can rewrite history all they want but fact of the matter is MJ, Bird, and Magic all had superteams. Quote

His first title had Kerr, or Armstrong at pg and Cartwright at center. Pipe was good no doubt but Jordan made him. Horace Grant was ok but I wouldn't call that loaded. Rodman and Kukoc came later. Rodman came from the Spurs and while he was ok there he was a role player off the bench. Kukoc was supposed to be the be all Euro player. He wasn't that great. Jordan had 3 titles before he had his strongest teams. Now the Lakers and Celtics? They were stacked. That is why Jordan's first title was that impressive to me. thebigweave and HoosierAloha 2 Quote

mdn82 Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 I hope the Cavs win it again to be honest. It would be great for Lebron's legacy and the NBA. HoosierTrav and Hoosierfan2017 2 Quote
