TheWatShot Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Still don't trust Haliburton in close games. Dude is so shaky trying to dribble against pressure. Quote
KingPG21 Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Wut a fantastic performance by the refs. They were told to make sure Boston won. And they did J34 and thebigweave 2 Quote

Stuhoo Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Pacers shot it better, but Tatum and Brown are the two best players on the court. Not seeing any impact by referees whatsoever. Pacers need to steal one on the road before Porzingis returns. That’s about it. J34, BGleas, RaceToTheTop and 1 other 2 2 Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Reviewing a play where Tatum two arm grabs Toppin. In college, that's a ******* hook and hold on Tatum Quote

Boston shot 21 more free throws before we had to start fouling. They have also managed to shoot 11 more 3s so not listening to the bs they are attacking. They weren’t. Not to mention the inbounds turnover was all created by Brown getting away with one of his roughly 30 fouls RaceToTheTop and thebigweave 2 Quote
Hovadipo Posted May 22, 2024 Author Posted May 22, 2024 Had 13 games to figure out how to play refball this postseason. Maybe don’t hand Boston the ball an extra 21 times for 32 points. Quote

Pretty sure that the only people noticing the refs in this game will be some Pacers hardcore fans; not Pacers players or staff, or anyone else nationally. Quote

Teams aren't going to play perfect games but when you clearly outplay the other team sans refs, you SHOULD win. hoopsta007 and thebigweave 2 Quote

No way the Celtics have this big of a free throw advantage in Indy. At the same time, it probably doesn't get to OT if the Pacers don't inbound the ball like a high school team. BtownStrength 1 Quote
RaceToTheTop Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Pacers have shot 76 fewer free throws than their opponents in the last eight games. Sorry if I don't get the rationalization that it was the Pacers 'pissing down their leg'. The first 46 minutes of a game matter and set up the last 2. There is no close game to blow if the game wasn't close. Consider the fact that the Pacers had the ball with 10 seconds left and a three point lead and got fouled and STILL weren't shooting free throws yet. Come on. thebigweave and hoopsta007 2 Quote

But saying it was the Pacers blowing the game is what the NBA thrives on -- escaping blame for playing favorites to teams they want to win. hoopsta007 1 Quote

But they gave it away and back into the officials hands. Quote
