The frequency matters. Steph does it after almost every play. If LeBron did his push down celebration after every dunk then you'd have a point. Steph probably does a celebration dance when he snags a front row parking spot at the grocery store.

He's having fun. It amazes me how much people hate that. Plus he does it abundantly more at home in order to pump up the crowd.

Onto another topic, I find this picture interesting. Any other superstar would get tons of crap for doing this in the middle of a game. I've never understood why steph gets free passes when other superstars don't (throwing mouth guard, whining to refs, trying to do trick passes in heated moments, etc.) 6b51afd2c4336d83937c5233523d052f.jpg

Lebron does this regularly. (Not to mention bottle flipping at MSG that one night) I watched Harden do it at BLF this year. This is such sour grapes lol.

That's fine. I don't mind some emotion, but the constant celebrating annoys me.  Every made shot is cause for celebration. It annoys me when IU players do it too. I like to see a little humility from players and the Warriors don't show much at all. They act like they've never been there before.

Seems to be working. GS is having fun and demolishing the competition. You can dislike it all you want but I don't think they care that opposing teams fans (especially Cavs fans) get upset over it.

Lol and I wouldn't expect them to. All I said was that the only thing I dislike about Curry is the constant celebrating.

I guess the question is if Cleveland was winning would you have an issue with LeBron's constant celebrations? The answer is no.

Major overreaction. He can't help that the cameras went to him. What's even disrespectful about it??? Guys always sit on the bench with towels over their heads. Is it suddenly disrespectful because he's laying down??

IMO Yes. Steph just gets on my nerves with some of his antics. I'm sorry if you disagree

The answer is yes. Just because I'm a LeBron fan doesn't mean I automatically agree with everything he says or does.

Here's my thoughts on that matter. I hate Cam Newton for those same reasons (among other reasons). He's extremely cocky. The difference that I see between the two is that Steph celebrates with fans and teammates and doesn't seem to get in opposing players faces with it, and also when things aren't going his way he doesn't pout on the level of most other superstars (or like Cam).

I don't get that at all. Celebrations are a part of the game. It doesn't make me mad when Curry does it, and it doesn't make me mad when LeBron does it (although it obviously hurts when he's doing it against the Pacers). What's bad about having fun? I just don't understand that thinking at all.

He threw his mouth guard into the stands last year in game 6 because his team was losing.

Oh don't get me wrong, Steph seems to be a great dude off the court. But call me old school because I love when a player is all business on the court - Lebron vs the celtics in 2012, almost always KD, Kawhi, etc. I'm just not a huge fan of some of the stuff Steph does (not saying lebron doesn't do it) and it appears he gets more of a free pass than other superstars. For example, if that was Lebron the media would be losing it.

There's nothing bad with celebrating but imo there's times where it's cool and times when it's unnecessary. I like when a player hits a big shot towards the end of a game and celebrates, but doing it constantly throughout a game grows old. It's not cool or special if it's always happening. To me the coolest celebration is a stare down after a big play.

I understand the business on the court thinking and that's why Kawhi is one of my favorite NBA players. At the same time I have no issue with showing emotion and having fun as long as it's in good taste. As I've mentioned previously, most of Curry's celebrations are with his teammates and fans. For that matter LeBron is the same way. That's why I don't see an issue in either case.

When you make a lot of highlight plays you're going to be celebrating them more often. LeBron does a lot of staring down. Steph does a lot of different dances. Both are ok with me, but if anything LeBron's are more demeaning and disrespectful so I find your stance on the issue extremely odd. Again back to my first post yesterday, it seems you've got LeBron up so high on that pedestal that you're overlooking who he is and what he does.

It's just a personal preference of mine. Staredowns seem cool to me. I like when a dude dunks on someone or blocks him and then stares him down for a few seconds. A lot of the over the top celebrations and dances seem goofy to me. Idk, I like it more when guys play "angry" than when they seem carefree and happy and such. Like, I like it better when LeBron has that 2012 Celtics game 6 look in his eyes than when he's messing around and goofing off during games.

Back during his first stint in Cleveland he and the Cavs would goof around a lot. They would do a bunch of goofy stuff during pregame, during introductions, and all that. I didn't like it. I like it when players are stone-faced and have that strictly business, assassin vibe to them. I don't really like Kawhi Leonard but I like his on-court demeanor.

A lot of people seem to like Curry because he looks "normal". He isn't freakishly tall, he isn't freakishly athletic, he just looks like a regular dude. Hes relatable to the average person. They're all like "see, you don't have to be super tall or athletic to make it to the NBA, hard work will take you far!" When you see guys like LeBron, Durant, Westbrook, etc. it's like "okay these guys are freaks of nature."

The only thing I hate about Steph Curry is the way he celebrates after literally everything he does on the court. His little kicks during game 1 were absurd. It just seems goofy and unnecessary to me and makes it hard to watch.

And you don't think it's hard to watch LeBron complain about how any player looked at him? You're right on one thing and that's not being impartial when it comes to LeBron
