They went 51-31 during last year's regular season. They're 47-30 right now. Not much different. Besides, LeBron's teams shouldn't be judged by the regular season. They looked "meh" during the regular season last year and then swept the first two rounds of the playoffs and then beat #1 seed Boston in 5.
The Cavs team that the Pacers took 3 of 4 from last year is much different than the team they have now. I'm not sure much can be gathered from those games.

And we're 45-18 when Oladipo and Sabonis both play.

I want the Pacers to somehow rise to 3rd or fall to sixth. Only way I am happy in the 4/5 game is if we are playing Washington. I don't want to play Cleveland or Philly first round.

Philly is gonna lose pretty easily in the playoffs. Teams that young with that little playoff experience don't perform in the playoffs.

Embiid and Simmons are turnovers waiting to happen. Defense in the postseason is better than regular. Individual players issues get exposed way easier. They might be a threat in a year or two, but yeah they aren't their first year

Eastern conference takes a huge blow with the Kyrie Irving surgery... Celtics with just super bad luck this season. Hayward, Smart and Irving all dealing with injuries this year. They should be darn good next season though.

Boston wasn't making it out of the 2nd round anyway with Kyrie.

That end of game 3 shot "foul" is why I can't fully get behind the NBA. That's a terrible call for their superstar to try and get to OT.

It makes up for the terrible no-call on LeBron's dunk earlier in the 4th. Dude swats at him with both arms. But people will still try saying that LeBron gets all the calls.

well LeBron does get a lot of calls. That includes the many calls that aren't called, like traveling, which he gets at least 5 games a game. Or getting away with an offensive foul.

If you've watched LeBron play this year you would see that he gets fouled 10+ times a game without any calls. He gets the Shaq treatment. It's intellectually lazy to revert to the "he gets all the calls" take if you don't watch him on a nightly basis.

And he gets away with and receives 10+. So I guess it evens out then, eh?

Sure. NBA refs as a whole have been terrible this year. Not sure if it has always been this way, but it's been disappointing.

His footwork on that late transition three should have been called a travel. You could have added a technical for how bad it was but the ref was definitely not trying to call that.

I'm baaaaack!  Trying to catch up on this past week of btb and I want to thank Romeo for not making his announcement in my absence.  I've been on a most enjoyable Caribbean cruise with my oldest daughter and her family and one of our day stops was Havana, Cuba.  Not trying to make a political statement, but I was totally unprepared for what we saw.  Visual evidence everywhere of what a Communistic regime can do to destroy a country.  More than happy to pass along additional info if requested through PM's.

This past week TB's team opened play in the G-League playoffs and won their first game 126-109 over the Reno Bighorns.  TB with 33 pts. on 12-18 FG's; 5 reb.   Single elimination format and in game 2, they were beaten 104-93 by the Austin Spurs.  TB with 10 pts. on 4-10 FG's; 10 reb.

NBA regular season ends next Wednesday.  3 games on Saturday's schedule involving IU guys and not a one of them played.

EG out with an ankle injury.

From NBA.com:  Noah Vonleh (calf) is out again for Saturday vs. Brooklyn.  It sounds like Lauri Markkanen is ready to roll, so Vonleh wouldn't have played much anyway.    NOTE:  When Vonleh signed with the Bulls, it was reportedly because of his expiring contract so it's probably unlikely he'll be wearing a Bulls uniform next season.

From Ian Begley - NY Knicks beat writer for ESPNNBA:   Troy Williams suffered a fractured jaw in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game against Detroit and will miss the rest of the season.  Williams impressed the Knicks enough to get a two-year deal, though he only has a partial guarantee for next season. In 17 appearances for the Knicks, Williams averaged 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.1 steals and 0.6 triples. With Williams out, the Knicks will be able to get a look at Damyean Dotson.

Id say the favorites at this point

I think they get beat in the first round. When a team wins that many in a row, a slump is inevitably coming. Along with their youth and total lack of playoff experience, I think you have the makings of an early exit.

Career game for OG.  21 pts. on 7-10 from the field and he added 8 reb.  And Vic also had himself a pretty good ballgame today as well.

Pacers finished up the regular season against the Hornets and Vic got the night off.  Pacers finish with 48 wins when many of the 'experts' thought 35 wins was the best they'd do before the season started.  Had to be a really disappointing season for Cody because of all the time he lost to injuries.
