HoosierAloha Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Runner up is just second place , you have Won nothing . I'm not saying he isn't a good coach , but he is not Great by any means . He is a great coach. There are plenty of basketball experts, not media talking heads, who recognize him as great. He is the next coach K or coach Pop depending on what level you want to compare him. I would be willing to put a lot of money on him being a top 3 coach at either level the next 5 years. He's pretty much there at the pro level now. Coach Stevens at IU would probably have multiple championships in an 8-10 year span. He almost did that at Butler in two years. Trish Posted April 3, 2016 Posted April 3, 2016 Stevens didn't have the greatest talent at Butler, but he managed to get them to the championship twice. That's very impressive. Now you take a look at this sorry looking Celtic roster. No one projected them to be this good this soon... Look where they are. I'm a huge NBA fan and I'd say he's a top 3 coach already. His out of bounds plays are simple amazing. He probably has over 100 sets currently. He knows exactly how to use the roster he's given to each of their strengths. He seems to project a higher level of calmness and confidence that very few coaches or professionals posses. I was in a rather sticky situation in Afghanistan. I was surrounded by Rangers and other really well trained military types. We knew something bad was coming and you could sense a nervousness about the group. An older gentleman with the label of "badass" sensed it as well. He started moving throughout the group ensuring everyone knew exactly what to do and when to do it. He brought a sense of faith to a group that knew what to do but needed reassurance. He was a cut above. This is a characteristic that I see in Stevens. HoosierAloha Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 The refs are making an absolute mockery of the game of basketball in this Timberwolves-Warriors game. Almost like the league has an agenda... Sent from my iPhone using BtownBanners Quote

TheWatShot Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 I'm not sure which Pacer fans crack me up more: the ones who actually think this team is good or the ones who thought Cleveland would be an easier opponent than Toronto. Crimson and Cream 1 Quote

I'm in a Pacers group on facebook and it amazes me how many really thought the Cavs were a better match-up. Really? With LeBron? Quote

The ones who really thought we had a chance to win more than a game 4 at home against the Cavs. I think they lose in 6 to the Raptors. There was a real good chance they got swept by the Cavs ThompsonHoosier 1 Quote
