our D has been atrocious on all levels. Post defense, dribble drive, open 3s, defensive rebounding. Embarrassingly bad.

yeah it has. But the team has shot really well in losses and a good 3 pt shooting team is dangerous in march, especially when going in on a hot streak. Perea's effort and contribution is the make or break

Yes it has. The weird thing to me is that many times when a defensive player has a difficult time keeping an offensive player in front of them it's because they are gambling on. defense. With our players though I can't say that's the case many times. It's not that they are gambling for a steal and get burned it's that some of them just don't think the concept of staying in front of your man and challenging the shot is important

Agreed, Yogi seems to be getting frustrated at some players for this.  We have athletes that have the physical ability to play defense but it seems like some just aren't interested in it.  It would be nice to see those guys actually put it on the line on defense.  I hope Yogi is calling them out in practice and film sessions.

Not trying to single out players but... if Vic is mentoring Troy I hope he is getting on him about his defense.  Vic took a huge leap on defense when he started watching tape and picked up on tendencies.  Troy has the ability to be a great defender but needs to get his head in the game.  I wouldn't care as much if he didn't have it in him to be great.

MD sitting in 2nd at 7-3 with a game at Iowa on the 8th. If we win this game against Michigan, we move to 7-4 and either have the opportunity to tie it up with MD at 8-3 or take the lead at 8-3 if MD loses to Iowa. Also depends what Purdue does, but we are in a strong position to take hold of 2nd or 3rd in the B1G. There's no catching Wisconsin at this point.

Our defense is beyond bad. I still think @ Maryland is an L but I'm worried we may lose either at Rutgers or NW and Iowa at home worries me also. Leaning towards 5-3 now. We just cant stop anyone.
